“Everthing you need”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 10 November 2013

Quest Docklands has quite a lot going for it but probably # 1 is its excellent location, right next to key transport nodes like Southern Cross station, tram lines, airport bus station as well as Etihad Stadium. (Note that rates can go through roof when there is a big game on at Etihad). There are plenty of restaurants, bars and a supermarket close by.
Apartments are spacious - studios as well as one-bedders - and come with a well-equipped kitchen, dishwasher, washing machine, clothes dryer, a proper dining table, etc - all the mod cons you could reasonably expect.
On-site parking also available for a relatively small additional fee. It is certainly not bargain basement territory, but reasonable value considering all the inclusions.

Dear JElliot32,

Thank you for your wonderful review and recommendation, it was great to read that you are a regular guest at Quest Docklands.

Our newly refurbished One Bedroom Apartments are wonderful rooms, ideal for extended stays or anyone who values space and convenience when travelling to Melbourne. Featuring a full kitchen, separate spacious open plan living and dining area that extends out to a balcony, master bedroom with king or queen bed and bathroom with private laundry facilities. If you need to get down to business, the full sized writing desk with high speed internet access will ensure you stay connected. Or if you want to simply relax the 42” HD LED TV with Foxtel, DVD player and iPod dock are sure to keep you entertained.

The Studio Apartments have all been refurbished as well and now included a lounge chair and improved bedside lighting, I agree that these apartments are spacious when compare to a hotel room.

We would like to thank you for taking the time to review your recent stay with us at Quest Docklands and for letting fellow travellers know about the great facilities and services we have to offer, as well as our fantastic location.

Once again thanks for your recommendation, we look forward to welcoming you back to Quest Docklands!

Happy travels.

Was there for a week from Oct 19 to 26 for business. Had a one bedroom apartment. Perfect location, near the office. About 5 minutes walk to The Goods Shed tram station which can get you straight to the CBD.
Room was clean and equipped with all facilities of a serviced apartment. Microwave, fridge, cooking stove, dishwasher, washing machine and dryer, and anyting else that you can think of.
Shower and tub comes together, which might be a hassle to some. One thing that caught my attention was the mugs that I left on the coffee table were not washed by the housekeeper. Apparently they only wash whats inside the sink.
They also had this DVD rental service for free. Also 1 hour free wifi, but limited at the foyer area only. No wifi available in room, only wired access with a fee.
Room was $209 a night. Will definitely choose this hotel again on my future trip to Docklands.

The studio room was comfortable and allowed us to do our own cooking and laundering. Room was immaculately clean when serviced (we stayed for 10 days, full sevicing occurred 3 times) Location was very convenient as it was on the same concourse as Etihad Stadium. Fantastic for events held there. Close to Southern Cross Station, restaurants and hotels/taverns. Service was excellent and we were not disturbed. A little on the pricy side; ~$245 per night. I suppose to be expected as it was during AFL season and WA school holidays.

We stayed at Quest Docklands over the weekend. Everything was very clean and well kept and the fittings were modern. The staff were great, the guy who came to fix the wifi (our error BTW) was super polite and took the time to ask how we liked the room, a great indication of how the property is run.

4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 20 September 2013

Stayed 3 nights Sep 16-19th. I have stayed previously here and enjoy the short walk to work from the appartments. So the location is excellent. The one thing that struck me on this visit is the amount of development around the Quest's area. Very large buildings now dwarf the Quest - poor quest getting built over all around!! Luckily I was at the end away from the construction next door so heard none of it.

I stayed in a Studio appartment 802b - yes b because there was an 802a. Not sure why you would double up on the numbers - but I believe the "a" appartment is the full size and the "b" appartment the studios. Why not just number upwards and leave out the a/b - could confuse the elderly/ forgetful or drunk people on which is their room..

The studio is adequately appointed and I only have a few small quibbles.

- Shower in the bathtub - the most annoying thing a hotel can do is put the shower in the bathtub - I know this is a space saver and you also have the option of a bath or shower - but I hate these with a passion. These are dangerous to have to climb in/out of - I dont know how the elderly would do so as it was quite a height to step over. While I'm on the shower there is only 1 tap for the water on/off and that is down at the bath level - it means when you want to turn on/off and adjust the water for the shower you have to bend down there to do so.

- The TV is this room had no sound with channel 7 or SBS - not sure if it was just a reception thing - all those tall buildings blocking the signal..

- The electrical plug at the desk was a double plug but you could only use one plug as the 2nd plug was blocked in part by the edge of the black desk part

- The iron was placed in the vanity under the sink in the bathroom - had to hunt for it - not sure why this was the chosen spot for it - probably better put in the laundry hidden in the closet on the bathroom

- The rooms seemed to be recently painted - could see paintbrush hairs in the paint above the shower - poor paint job but little to complain about really.

Overall a good stay and only very minor points to complain about. Service was good at front desk - it did appear they were training new people but no wait at the front desk and very friendly service by all.

Thank you for your positive review and rating. It is pleasing to read that you had an enjoyable stay with us. I am happy to share that late last year we completed a refurbishment of the hotel and now all the studio apartments feature walk-in rainwater showers. Also all rooms in the hotel have access to Foxtel IQ, so you will never miss your favourite program.

Once again thank you sharing your thoughts on the property, it is greatly appreciated. Happy Travels!

Quest Docklands is conveniently located to most of the CBD action. A stones throw from Etihad stadium, DFO, the shopping strips of Collins or Bourke St. There is also some new bars and eateries as the precinct around the hotel starts to build up. Also great for business with some big business buildings close within walking distance,

Stayed for four nights in July & was very happy with all aspects of the visit. It's a great location for the footy at Etihad, & with a tram stop just around the corner, getting to the city etc was very easy. Had a lovely one bedroom apartment & there was plenty of room to spread out. Staff were extremely helpful at all times.
