Booked this hotel for one night at last minute - was the cheapest rate we could find in the area we needed.
The area is good in terms of closeness to Southern Cross Station. I can't think of any other reason you'd stay here.
Front desk staff were extremely rude. They held $150 on my card WITHOUT TELLING ME, which then took 13 days to clear. I call them a week after checking out to ask and they said they'd ring the bank and have it removed immediately - they didn't. Also, they charged me twice for the room, stating that because I booked online on the same day, they didn't have proof that the payment had processed, even though I had it showing on my bank statement. So a $92 booking had $330 taken from my bank for 2 whole weeks. NOT GOOD ENOUGH.
Room is small, musty and smelly. Bathroom looked like a wheelchair bathroom with a toilet like the ones you'd find in wheelchair public bathrooms. Provided soaps were nasty smelling.
Bed was comfortable enough.
Breakfast was very, very average. No meat (bacon or sausages) provided - just scrambled or fried eggs.
Would NEVER stay here again.More
