Had breakfast here on a cool but cloudy day and we watched the rich punters getting a flight to the Caulfield Cup. We both had the “New York Benny” breakfast, washed down with a good hot coffee
The only thing that requires improvement, is maybe increase the SIZE & QUALITY of the table napkins
The ones provided are tissues and are great for cleaning spectacles

Had lunch here with a friend who was attending a nearby conference. Random choice based on menu and ambience. Service poor as we had to wait at the counter for far too long while one person 'greeted' arrivals, took orders and served food to tables. Short staffed? We both had a caesar salad with chicken which was average and not good value at $16.50. Coffee ok. Convenient rather than enjoyable.

We had breakfast in the way to DFO . Location is great , along the river . Food is served on wooden boards , furnishing is wooden tables and steel chairs . Very warm atmosphere . We ordered smash avo and Atlantic omelette . Cappuccino and the milkshake was excellent .Food was very good . Waiters were very friendly and efficient . Place was very clean . A really pleasant experience .

My family and I went to the DFO on the weekend. It was lunchtime and I thought we should go somewhere nicer than food court food.

Theres a couple things wrong with this place:
1. We seated ourselves , no one noticed and we went inside to grab our own menus, we saw the sign that said we had to order inside so lined up to do so.
2. The man taking orders yelled at the line to move over to the other side...
3. 10% surcharge on a sunday... i dont mind if im paying for the service at 10% but at this point ive grabbed my own menus and no one has welcomed us there
4. Because no one had welcomed us we went up to grab water and 3 cups, apparently we could only have 1 cup because the others were in the washer.
5. We waited 15 minutes for the two other cups to arrive and another 20 for our meal and only after asking how much longer would it be considering we had been waiting 30 minutes.
6. The meals were small and not worth the cost and no one came to ask how our meal was or waited on us at all.

Feel ripped off and ill never return. Disgusting service if you are gonna charge 10% as a surcharge, you better have 10% more service and quality.

No one else around you has this.

Definately feels like the the 10% surcharge is used to detour people to other places around. Next time ill learn my lesson.

P.s u get 1 star because your ice coffee is actually good and the only reason i didnt die of heat exhaustion waiting for water

Nice outlook, clean and tidy and staff were good. We stopped in for breakfast on the way to DFO, had the big breakfast and bagel with avo smash and poached eggs. Main reason for a 2 was they buttered the toast and bagel when they were hot and used way too much butter tasted like oil soggy bread. Eggs were under done. We advised the staff to tell the chef NOT to butter toast or bagels let the customers decide if they want it buttered.
