The view from the Skydeck was wonderful... my friend and I paid the extra to go on the Edge which was good fun. Have to go on a clear night though 😊

I have been to Melbourne many times so this time we played tourist. The Eureka Skydeck was on the list, although I wasn't expecting much. There was no wait to get in and it was still school holidays so that was a bonus. It is a quick ear popping ride up 88 flights in the elevator. Then you wander around the perimeter of the floor which show cases Melbourne from every angle.

The views were great as it was a beautiful day. If it wasn't a nice day then the views would be reduced and certainly wouldn't be worth the visit. They have another bit that costs extra which is a glass bottom cage that extends out of the building but after looking at it I didn't think it was worth the extra $15.

We did do 'The Edge' which I said I would not do. It is a photo op which looks like you are literally hanging off the building. Photos are great. They take 3 and you choose one which is given to you in a cardboard frame for $15. It is also available to download on line. When I asked about the other 2 photos I was given a code to download them as well at no extra cost. So make sure you ask. It is very touristy but we had a good laugh and the photos were really good.

You can sit and have a coffee or a cold drink and spend as much time as you like up there as it didn't seem to get crowded at all. But in saying that there did appear to be a bit of a queue when we left. We didn't do the coffee thing so we probably spent about 30 minutes there which was plenty of time. Although initially sceptical I would recommend this.

My partner took me here after lunch on valentines day. It was my first time there and it was absolutely amazing. The cube which moves outside of the building is a great experience not great for someone with height fears. Great for anyone to visit

Had a wonderful time with a friend here, it was a clear day and we could see all that was possible of Melbourne. Just a pity that additional charges are so high - eg. The Edge experience.
