I recently accompanied 2 disabled, wheelchair-bound clients on their first holiday to Melbourne. I came across Located on Collins Street in Melbourne's CBD, while researching appropriate accommodation for the trip. I have never utilised this type of accommodation before. When you are travelling with people who are reliant on you to provide for all their needs, comfort and safety it is so important that everything goes to plan.
The booking process was easy and once the deposit was paid it puts you in touch with the owner. I contacted the owner on several occasions with questions prior to the trip and he friendly and always answered promptly. The check-in/checkout process was easy and went smoothly.
The wonderful owners met us at the apartment and we were blown away to find they had provided a huge range of supplies such as milk, yoghurts, soft drinks, cereals, personal care items, detergents etc. etc. – in fact everything you would expect to go purchase. It was a very pleasant and unexpected surprise. They could not have been more helpful to our party and we are so appreciative of this.
The apartment itself is in an awesome location, central to everything. There is a tram stop right outside the front doors of the building but it is within walking distance to lots of places we went to also. It was lovely and clean, nice décor, comfortable, warm, spaciously enough for the 2 wheelchairs. Everything was provided to make it a home away from home.
I would highly recommend this apartment to others.
