My partner and I walked in to the impressive looking restaurant and were curtly greeted by a waitress who rudely wavered us to a table stating "Oh, just sit over there". Going on that first impression, we should have left.
I questioned the waitress about the wine menu but she clearly had no idea. I asked, is the Riesling dry or sweet? She replied condescendingly "Only Chardonnays are dry".
The entre was quick and lovely. The highlight of the night.
The mains were extremely disappointing. I ordered the spaghetti Mariana, which consisted of tasteless pasta (no sauce) and overcooked seafood. I barely finished it. My partner ordered the Napoli gnocchi. He said the sauce was okay, but the serving was tiny. After feeling unsatisfied from the mains, we decided to order dessert. My Eton Mess was okay. My partner's chocolate pudding was like "something defrosted from a supermarket". He was bitterly disappointed.
We finished off our average wine (at $48 for one of the cheapest bottles) and quickly left, laughing that we would NEVER be back again.
