“AMAZING!!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 20 June 2014

This was one of my most memorable experiences. We booked a day trip which left from Geralton early in the morning we then flew over the islands with the pilot giving a commentary. He then landed us on an island where we then stayed for the rest of the day. The pilot then turned into the life guard as there were only six people on the whole island and we all came on the one plane.
The beaches were very white sandy beaches, the water clear and warm. It was really relaxing. We were the only ones to take a bottle of wine and a few beers and I think the others regretted not having the same thoughts. Lunch was a picnic lunch that was provided. I would also suggest taking your own snorkelling equip.

“Fishing Trip at the Islands”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 12 February 2014

This was my third trip to the Abrolhos, My first was a day trip to the best snorkeling in my life, Second was on an Island for 4 days helping with a doctors conference at the fisheries department building and the third was a fishing day trip with friends by boat to some of the best fishing waters in WA. The Abrolhos Islands are one of WA's best kept secret, But don't tell anyone ;)

“Another world - isolated and beautiful”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 21 January 2014

A 20/30 minute flight from Geraldton, Western Australia to the first of the Abrolhos Islands is to enter a special world. The pilot drops you off at West Wallabi Island and you have an Island to yourself , to swim, snorkel, chill out and catch some sun. It's romantic and you can swim clothed or naked- its just you, your partner and a pilot who will provide you with morning tea, Lunch and privacy. Rare birds, wallabies, cute reptiles, and sun, white sands and pristine clear aqua water. Heaven. You get about 4 hrs.' on the island and then a return flight back to Geraldton on a little propeller plane sometimes dropping into other islands' for a pick up passenger.. All a delight. A 4 hr. holiday that feels like a week. Go. Cost $520 for two, but so worth it. You need a camera- memories for life.( Geraldton Air Charter)

“Southern Group Abrolhos”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 27 December 2013

Southern group are the lowest lying of all the islands... most are less than 3m high. Our family pearl farm is located on Post Office Island in the centre of the group on the NE side. The islands are visited by charter boat operators but there is no airfield nearer than Rat Island about 20nm to the NW. The crossing from Geraldton can be a bit rough and the area is famous for its steady trade winds... generally from the SE. Below the water is where you want to be. The sea life is astonishing and the water very clear. Best time of the year is April to October because the winds drop off after fronts and we get glassy sunny days that are perfect for exploring.

“Amazing experience”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 1 December 2013

We loved our trip to the islands. First you take a tiny 6 seater plane to the island flying over beautiful pools and colour formations. Our tour guide was excellent telling us all about the history of the ship wrecks and the story of those who first landed on the islands. Once we got to our personal island (us and two other couples) we had a short walk to the beach and saw dolphins swimming in the ocean. On further exploration we found wallabys, monitor lizards, skinks and a white bellied sea eagle. It was truly an amazing trip and the snorkeling revealed beautiful fish in the water and we even had the dolphins coming to explore us later in the day which was truly magical. Although expensive it is well worth the money and the best thing we did on our holiday to Western Australia.
