“Relaxing holiday with friends :)”
Reviewed 11 January 2014 via mobile

Our stay at Pinctada was wonderful. We stayed in a Honjin Family Villa and enjoyed the perks of a private plunge pool, pure indulgence! The room was a great size.

We spent time at the day spa enjoying a kodo relaxation massage, absolute professionalism allowed for complete relaxation! Thanks ladies

We ate at selenes as well as ordering food and beverage from
Brizos whilst by the pool, food was always delightful! Highly Recommend the watermelon Martinis!!

Thanks to all the staff at Pinctada for an enjoyable stay!

We recently stayed at Pinctada Cable Beach and can't wait to return. We made a last minute decision to getaway and we are so glad we chose Broome and Pinctada. If you don't like crowds this is a brilliant time of year to visit Broome, everywhere is so quiet and the majority of places are air conditioned so you can escape the heat and humidity. We stayed in a Courtyard suite and it was the perfect size for us. We had our own little plunge pool which was shared between a couple of other suites but we never saw anyone else use it. On arrival we were greeted so promptly and given a lovely cold welcome drink whilst we were checked in swiftly. My only suggestion would be that the air conditioning is switched on in the suite just prior to the guests arrival especially at this time of year. The suite itself contained two couches, a meals table and small kitchenette which was separate to the bedroom. The bathroom was huge and contained a double vanity, free standing bath and a great open shower.

The pool area at Pinctada is brilliant, it is quite big and there are a couple of different areas to it. All the sun lounges are shaded and it is so relaxing just being in that environment. The resort itself was jut so quiet.

On our first night we dined at Selene's and if you are staying at Pinctada you must try it as the food is absolutely divine and was the best we had during our time in Broome.

The next morning we enquired about massages thinking we would have to book ahead but were able to have one right there and then, there was only one massage therapist on but that didn't bother us too much. The massage was so good and so relaxing and really set the tone for the days ahead.

I also must mention the staff at Pinctada. They are all so wonderful and friendly and really make you feel very special. We both loved being able to walk into the bar and not even have to give your order as they remembered what you were drinking. We decided during our time at Pinctada that we will definitely be back at the end of the year and a lot of the decision was based not only on the resort itself and it's facilities but how we were made to feel by all the staff. All in all it was a wonderful, relaxing getaway.

A great place to unwind after a busy year and to gently welcome the New Year. We were greeted warmly on arrival and, as returned guests, fortunate enough to be given a Honjin Suite, in a private courtyard of 9 suites, with a plunge pool. We arrived on 27 Dec and leaving on 5 Jan.

The hotel is boutique style, intimate with plenty of room and beautifully maintained gardens, pool and surrounds. The staff, from the cleaners, spa and sauna retreat therapists, and restaurant to front desk, all work well together. Special mention goes to Matthew, Nick, Besky, Carl, Ronaldo and Deb who clearly love what they do.

We arrived a few days before a cyclone, and all staff were calm but alert. The hotel under the excellent management of Matthew, was organised and prepared for the worst.

We had great weather for the first 2 days; we made the most of it, swimming and resting. The wet weather was over within two days. The two days of rain didn't bother us at all as we relaxed, read and enjoyed the sauna. The temperature dropped significantly, which was also lovely.

The food is great - breakfast, lunch, pool side and dinner. Absolutely not one complaint!
While most people prefer to come during the dry season, we love it at this time of the year when it's quiet, easy to get around, enough places open to eat, shop, and watch the sun set at Cable Beach or catch a movie in town at the open air cinema.

The weather continues to be great, lots of pool side chairs to choose from, with attentive staff to take your order of snacks and drinks. It has a quiet, peaceful and gentle vibration about the place. We hope to make Pinctada our annual end of the year retreat. Highly recommend the hotel.
Also recommend car hire, makes it easier getting around in the hot weather.

Room Tip: Honjin Studio on 2 or 3rd floor facing pool are good. Or a Honjin Courtyard Suite.

Dear Shaenaus,
It was a pleasure to welcome you back to Pinctada Cable Beach and I would like to thank you for taking the time to post your kind comments for a second time, 1 year on. I was particularly pleased to read that your spirits were not dampened by the brief bout of weather we experienced from Cyclone Christine. I and the rest of the team look forward to being able to welcome you back to your "peaceful retreat" again this December.

Kind Regards,
Matthew Clowes

This resort hotel had a lovely ambience from the moment you entered the foyer. Staff were very friendly and the pool area was split into various sections so you weren't all lined up in a row on sun lounges! There was a nice Bar area by the pool. Our room was well appointed with a large bathroom and a balcony overlooking the pool. There was also a separate meditation type garden with decked platforms of huge saucer type lounges dotted around. Very relaxing.
there was a general store just down the road where burgers etc. and breakfast was on offer.
The buffet breakfast at Pinctada was a bit boring with little change if any over the days we were there.
The only downside was location - it was a bit of a walk to the beach (compared to a lot of other
properties) and all the restaurants which is hard when the weather is so hot.
However we did enjoy our stay

We stayed at Pinctada Cable Beach in July 2013 for ten days and could not have wished for a more peaceful, relaxing holiday. Ask to stay in the Honjin Courtyard Suites, which are very quiet, incredibly roomy and have a magnificent free-standing bath. The breakfasts in the Selene Restaurant were very generous - they even serve little baclavas - and every morning, they made sure that my husband had his mushrooms! The weather in Broome at this time of the year is just glorious. This is the third time we have been to Broome in July. The night skies are just incredible and you'll see more stars than virtually anywhere else in the world. Book your holiday so that it doesn't overlap with the Broome Cup, which is what we did and there were hardly any other guests, so we had the beautiful, heated pool virtually to ourselves. Many great cappucinos were served to us poolside from the Brizo Pool Cafe. We ate at the Selene Restaurant twice during our stay, which had a very varied food and wine menu and at the Nyx Cocktail Lounge, which offered great cocktails and tapas. Treat yourself to a relaxing hot stones massage at the Spa and you'll be surprised by some treats from the Aborginal Dreamtime. The Hotel is about 1km from Cable Beach, which is magical at sunset. There are several restaurants situated along the beach front, including Xanders, which is great and it is only a short stroll to the Caravan Park Cafe on the corner, where you can get a scrumptious meal for about $10. You will need to order in the morning as they sell out pretty early on in the evening. Try also to book your stay so that it overlaps with the Staircase to the Moon, which is a must and of course, the obligatory camel ride along Cable Beach musn't be missed.

Room Tip: Ask to stay in the Honjin Courtyard Suites for complete peace and quiet.

Dear Houlihan2
It was a pleasure to host you at the resort back in July. It is certainly one of the postcard months for Broome. I was delighted to read that you had enjoyed your extended stay with us and that you were able to experience all of the facets of the resort from Dining, Poolside, Gardens & Grounds and the Day Spa. I hope that we have an opportunity to welcome you back next July for another peaceful and relaxing stay.

There were just a few things that prevented this place getting a five. Firstly, the whole place was beautifully clean, except for the rusty, dusty toilet brush holder! It just stood out as "unclean" and could have so easily been replaced at little cost.
I found the air-con too cold, but was unable to increase the temperature as it was set to 24 and could not be changed, I did ask! This just meant that I had to keep turning it on and off to allow the room to warm up a bit.
Finally, I was ill after eating a main course at the restaurant, the entree and dessert were wonderful. I mentioned this on checkout and was pleased that they took my details and appeared to take this seriously.
The rest of my one night stay was perfect, a beautiful room, everything I needed, the pool was relaxing and I loved my ground floor luxury room.

Dear Wanderer38,
Thank you for posting feedback from your recent stay with us. I was pleased to hear that you enjoyed your short visit and I appreciate the observations from your stay. We regulate the range in which the air conditioning can be set between 21 and 24degrees for cooling. Beyond 24degrees, they must be set to heating. I do apologise however that you were inconvenienced by this. As a Kimberley resident I look forward to being able to welcome you back the next time you return to Broome.
