“Amazing footprints”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 7 May 2014 via mobile

Lucky for us some kind people directed us to the dinosaur footprints, which are only visible at low tides below 2 m. Needs more signage. Getting to beach by climbing down through rocks was a bit dangerous - slippery in parts. Both of us fell but were not harmed much. Lovely colours at sunset.

“Just a rocky point, quite nice view”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 6 May 2014

We got the town bus here. You have to walk about another 1km each way on a dirt road, it is a bit isolated and scary- wouldn't recommend going alone. We walked back along cable beach, took about 1.5hrs brisk waking so take sunscreen and water. There are dinosaur footprints here but only at extremely low tide and you wouldn't know where to look for them if going independently. A pretty lookout for sure and nice walk back but nothing to write home about

“Be wary of car theft.”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 5 May 2014

We went for two spectacular sunsets. The red rocks really glow as the sun sinks. Its a wonderful sight.
The second time when we returned to the car park, the car next to ours had a window smashed in. The owners may have left something of value visible, far too inviting for thieves. It freaked us out and we were very careful after that where we parked our car.
The trouble is car is the only way to get to Gantheaume Point. The local bus only does one stop per day there so you have to make your own way back to town (5 klms?)
I guess you could take a taxi.
