“Every Year - we keep coming back!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 3 August 2011

Cable Beach Club in Broome is iconic. It is quintessential "Broome". As Broome is unique so is this hotel. The pools are great,,,,,landscaping is the best you will find anywhere and the location on Cable Beach is second to none. We have been every year (except 2) for the last 13 years and are returning again this coming September. We have tried to bring ourselves to try the other ranges of quality accomodation....but just cant bring ourselves to do so when it comes to actually booking! What you are paying for here is a experience....a unique experience..... so dont expect plush carpets and full marble bathrooms with italian lounges. You can get that anywhere - here it is all about being submersed in "Broometime" - relax, relax and relax. The service has it's ups and downs over the years but the last couple have been to a high standard. If you dont have kids get a room near the adult "ocean pool" - kids arent allowed there. If not and you are travelling as a family the bungalows are really spacious and allow you to save a few $ $$'s by having a full kitchen in them along with separate lounge. Ask for one near the kids pool to save walking a mile. Day Spa - pretty good but the Bali Hai is great too. Restaurants - you must have cocktails at sunset at the "Sunset Bar". The Zoo cafe across the road is the best in Broome - every time! Enjoy......cant wait to be back

We booked in for a one night stay in the garden view room.We arrived at mid day and they told us we could check in straight away which was great . The room was a good size , with modern decor. The only negative with this resort we encounted was the air conditioning system broke down when we first arrived and had to call front desk to get someone to look at it.

When they arrived they sdaid they had fixed it . We went for dinner and drinks and returned to find the room hot and the air con not working again. Once again we called the front desk and they sent someone up he did not speak much english aso i requested a manager . To the Cable Beach Club they did offer us complentary Buffet breakfast which was good and a good gesture from them . Over all i did like the cable beach club and would return .

Great location to the beach, we stayed in a bungalow accomodation overlooking the gardens, the furniture and decor were older and somewhat dated, although very clean.

The service in all bars and the resturants was very good and friendly. If you are thinking 5 star in terms of resorts in Asia, it's not. I would say 3 to 4 stars. The gardens are nice and tranquil.

The adults only pool is a huge plus if you have no children, for the kids the family pool is excellent with pleanty of water interaction activities for the younger ones.

I would recomend this resort, for the location the the beach, the Thai food was the best I have had.
Things we liked.

Location to the beach
Adults only pool
Thai food
Service

Things we did not like

Beds, far too hard
Room (bungalow) dated
The service at the day spa was non existent, they never returned the callas and therfore missed out

Room Tip: Basic and certainly not 5 star, but clean and spacious

This hotel is beautiful, no doubt about it. Proffesional staff, beautiful gardens, great choice of accomodation.

We are 'food' people, and we are happy to pay for GREAT food, but unfortunatly this place definatly missed the mark for us. Breakfast was good, but too be honest I was glad is was free of charge with our package. We have stayed at a lot of club meds, whom also do buffets, but they at least have a chef cooking SOMETHING fresh. Everything was over heated. The fruit salad was lovely, but not a hard thing to get right. We didn't eat at any of the restaurants, as on the first day we stopped for some nibbles, which cost $60 and were something i would expect from the local cafe. We couldn't dine at the 'better' restaurant as it was either booked for closed for 3 out of the 4 nights we stayed. We did get room service a couple of times, out of desperation, but it was cold and you could tell the food was prepared, refridgerated and then popped on a plate.

I loved the idea of dining by the pool at teh Thai Pearl but $38 for a plate of fresh cooked prawns is too much. Sorry Cable beach, I wanted to LOVE it, but the overpriced 'mass production' food just lefta bad taste in our mouth. Literally.

On a positive note, the service staff were amazing, the house keeping GREAT, the cocktails, GREAT.

I think this resort really does make you feel like you are being pampered which I think is the best thing about it. We might be back. I want to see if there is anything else in a similar location with the a great pool.

Room Tip: Anywhere in this this resort if great. If you don't like kids, get a room near the adult pool.

Cable Beach Club Resort has got to be my favourite holiday resort. I love bungalow accommodation and there are plenty of these available and also there is unit accommodation if that's what you fancy. Beautiful gardens, lovely food from a great choice of restaurants both inside the resort and close by, great cocktails, helpful friendly staff, rooms always immaculate, two pools (adult and family) - a perfect holiday - and Broome is the perfect destination for a relaxing getaway. Great for both couples and kids, it's both a honeymoon destination and family holiday - my 7 yr and 5 yr old keep asking when can they stay at Cable Beach again and personally, I would love to go with hubby and try the couples only villas!! Don't forget to pop across the road to Zoo Cafe at least once - YUM! That's if you can drag yourself away from the resort ;)
I love this resort so much that I am a return customer over and over....and as long as the resort stays fabulous - I always will be!! We'll be seeing you soon CBC!

We enjoyed everything about Cable Beach Club; the service, the variety of restaurants, the friendly staff, and best of all, access to the gorgeous beach front. We were situated by the adults only pool, and it was as if there wasn't a child in the place, perfect for us! Rooms were spacious and we both enjoyed our small patio. Even though the resort was full, we never had a problem finding a nice lounge chair by the pool.

This was a wonderfully relaxing holiday. Before we arrived our trips around the local area were booked by the helpful tour desk. On arrival we were taken to our room for check in. The service was excellent for the five days.
Fantastic.
