“Excellent stay but dated”
Reviewed 21 August 2014

Spent two nights at Cable Beach and found it good value considering that Broome is an expensive place to visit. The room was clean and well appointed with French doors looking out over the adult pool. That's right. the kids have their own pool where they can scream all they want. Service was good and the dining was well above average. The place is looking dated with its Balinese theme of dark, heavy wood . The location is good across the way from Cable Beach and with regular bus service into town. I'd stay there again. Beware the 2% surcharge on credit card purchases.

Room Tip: Rooms around the blocks near the adult pool would be preferred.

We stayed in a bungalow for 2 nights as previously this worked for us with 1 child.
The checkin was terrible staff were super friendly and professional so no disrespect to them but at checkin we arrived with 2 small children off a flight who were crying and moody and waited and waited for our bungalow to be ready while everyone else was shown to their rooms.
Our bungalow was same as last time a weird kind of layout but functional for breezing in and out of (not living out of). We reconfigured the veranda room to accommodate one baby but this involved lots of draping towels and sheets over the blinds as the room is very light even at night.
The layout means that basically when the kids go to sleep so do
You as the light from a TV etc and noise flows right through the bungalow.
The room service food was so aweful it was beyond comprehension as the food at the pool which was only 10m from our bungalow was outstanding!
The buffet breakfast was tired and uninspiring so I think maybe next time I'd pack
Quick oats and self serve in the apartment!
On the PLUS side the bungalow was fun for our kids who enjoyed crawling round and round and making cubbies from the beds etc, we were right near the most divine pool
For little ones and spent literally hours in there every day! The water park is huge and fun and when waterlogged the swings provide great entertainment as does scooting round the beautiful gardens of the resort. The proximity to the beach is fantastic. The staff are lovely.
To summarise. I will stay again purely to entertain my children as its so easy but might wait until off peak to
Secure a better deal. In peak
Season i will happily spend less than half to stay in more comfortable digs and drive into the town water park and town pool and to the beach!
(This review is only on the bungalow I have no experience with the rooms so can't comment).

My husband I travelled here for our 10 year Wedding anniversary. We were there in February which is a little warm (and humid) but it was great just to hang out at the pool and chill out.

The "Club" itself has quite a few restaurants (but some are closed in the wet season), we ate at 2 and they were both nice. The only problem is the Sunset Bar and Grill does not have air con so it it pretty warm there without it and the bugs like to come out at night!

We went to the Day Spa and this was a lovely experience. The place is quite new and very large, we both had massages and the products that they use are really lovely.

We stayed in one of the private Villas (with our own plunge pool, which is the highlight of the room). The room itself has all the facilities you would ask for - kitchenette (not that we did any cooking), a separate lounge area, bathroom with bath and another sitting area. They are really well put together, harnessing the materials and look of what the pearl luggers used to live it.

The staff were all really nice and we would definitely come back but next time will be in the winter months as the humidity is a little too much in Broome.

Thanks for choosing to celebrate such a special occasion at Cable Beach Club. It sounds as though you made the most of our tropical summer climate by relaxing in your private plunge pool. We look forward to your return.

I could not fault the accomodation , the staff , the gardens nor the position.
I was with a group of 26 like minded travelers and we all ate and drank at the Sunset Bar & Grill. The bar service was great and I understand that things in a remote spot like Broome are more expensive however, I have a bit of an issue in paying $8.30 for a stubby of James Boag Special . Fantastic views of Cable Beach, particularly as the sun starts to fall. The big let down was the meals. One of our group was served up a large piece of plastic in his risotto . A complaint was made but the waiting staff seemed not to care. The following night , 4 of our group sent their meals back because of either undercooked or cold steak . Veggies were for a lot more of us were just not hot enough.

Cable beach club resort is a high quality, well maintained and managed spa resort in a stunning setting right on Cable Beach. We love the resort and the beautiful surrounds. Most of the restaurants are really excellent such as the Club restaurant and we also enjoyed the new Japanese restaurant. The garden setting is incomparable and extremely relaxing. We found the rooms to be very comfortable and the staff very friendly and helpful. There are just a few things that could be improved and elevate the resort from a 4.5 to 5 star facility. The buffet breakfast is rather disappointing, although the vista stunning. Rather faded looking fruit, no fresh bread loaves, unattractive kitchen and mediocre coffee. The resort should use their beautiful main deck as an all day cafe with a range of foods, not just a few cakes and wraps as at present. The lighting in the rooms and villas is very dim. Upgrading these facilities would make a huge difference and elevate this to truly 5 star international status. We will definitely stay again.

Room Tip: The villas are terrific

A fantastic resort. Very clean with spacious, luxurious rooms and friendly staff. They helped us book in to lots of great tours and activities nearby. You instantly feel relaxed and a world away here. Having dinner or a drink as you watch the sunset on Cable Beach is a must do. I'd recommend having a hire car while staying here for flexibility.
A really great resort overall.

Cable Beach Resort is a fabulous place to stay, beautiful grounds, however there aren't many options with the menu. I think it just needs an overhaul to keep up with the trends. Such as fresh juices, maybe incorporate a juice bar, and healthier food options, more raw foods, fruits and salads. The ice-cream bar should have a MUCH better selection, in the hot weather icy poles are a must. Also why not have service around the pool with staff taking orders rather than having to go up to counter.
The resort is a lovely place to stay but you're better off finding alternate venues for dining.
