We booked in advance - confirmed a two bedroom apartment fat Bayside or four adults staying for five nights. However, when we arrived at the property after a 5 hour flight from Sydney we were told that they didn't have a two bedroom apartment available at bayside.
The hotel thought that we had only booked for ONE PAX, instead of FOUR. They must have sold our room to someone else. They then separated us into two ONE BEDROOM apartments at their other property Moonlight, a different location to the hotel bayside we had booked for.
The next morning we had to wait at the apartment and were told to pack up by 10am for the move to the new apartment we had actually booked at. With all our bags at the reception we were then told that the apartment at the next location was not ready as it was being cleaned. We thought this was very disrupting as we booked for FIVE nights and had effectively beed denied access to accomodation - alebit for a few hours. The hotel said that there was a break down in technology!!!
They offered no apology and said were were 'upgraded' on the first night staying at their upgraded Moonlight Suites property. We felt that it was not worth having to unpack and repack and move.
