The worst part of it for us was that we had only 1 night in this delightful B&B. We would truly have loved a second night especially as we had hire car complications & didn't arrive until late afternoon & had to leave early next morning. If we had known what we were coming to we would probably have picked up supplies in Broome for dinner as we had our own beautifully equipped outdoor kitchen complete with barbecue, fridge, candles - nothing was forgotten. As it was we went straight down to the beach which is a 5min drive on a 4WD track over the dunes to catch the spectacular sunset with our chairs & esky. It is a stunning stretch of beach & pretty quiet most of the time I would imagine.

As other reviewers have said, & I can only agree with, the setting & the accommodation is superb. Lisa, our host was quite delightful & there appears to be as much sociability or as much privacy as you want. After speaking to people later on our trip who had paid the same amount for a very basic motel room in Broome, it certainly represents great value for money too. The 15-20 min drive into town is very easy & you also have the option of cooking in or getting Lisa to supply steak or chicken for you to cook with salad. The breakfast supplies were very generous too with a wide selection including, fruit, cereal, yoghurt, bacon, eggs, bread, plunger coffee etc

All in all this was by far the best 'tented' accommodation we had during our whole trip through the kimberley

We loved our time at Coconutz. The 'safari tents' were so beautifully and thoughtfully laid out and decorated and were impeccably clean. We had everything we could have needed in a relaxed atmosphere and with a real sense of seclusion. The breakfast baskets were great and the outdoor kitchen was perfect. Our host, Lisa, was wonderful - so friendly and very helpful. On our first night we had arranged to have pre-made meals in our room to cook on the BBQ and the food was great and really thoughtfully prepared.
The location is great - surprisingly, one of the few places in Broome that is so close to the beach. And the stretch of Cable Beach that is near Coconutz is just spectacular! Crystal clear water, so many sea birds and hardly any people at all. One of the greatest joys of our trip was just swimming here watching the boobies dive in for fish around us.
Would highly recommend Coconutz and think it is much nicer than staying in town.

We absolutely loved our stay at Coconutz. We stocked up on supplies in Broome on our first day, then parked ourselves at this gorgeous retreat for three. Walking distance to the beach, ocean views from our deck, cooking meals outside, hammock, beautiful surroundings, communal fire kept husband very happy (and me with toasted marshmallows) and outdoor bath. Plus, a lovely and welcoming host who knew how to balance the fine line between great service and privacy at a B&B.

This beats any accommodation in central Broome. It's about 15 minutes away, just off the Cape Leveque Rd, but you'll be well rewarded. The 'tent' is anything but & as comfortable as any hotel room with the added decking, lovely separate shower/toilet area & beaut Bali like outside stone bath as well. All mods & cons including a fab BBQ & bar fridge. All set in a stunningly beautiful, private garden! We were in heaven!!

This is a belated review! We actually stayed for a week in August 2010 and also August 2007. The location is superb. We love the quiet, but also the noisy dawn chorus in the morning. Lisa & Jason are a wonderful hosts and have really looked after us on both occasions, with Lisa even cooking wood-oven pizza and providing dinner around a campfire on the beach.

The Eco-Tents are well appointed and set in tropical gardens not far from Cable Beach; and the plunge bath is really welcome after a busy day! There are too many superlatives to fit in this review, we can't say any more other than to recommend it very highly.

Room Tip: Just go there!
