All in all, our stay at the Regal wasn't too bad. Build quality of the room wasn't great, but this seems to be the case with most apartment style accommodation in Perth.

We stayed in a two room apartment for a wedding. Apart from the weird pillows (memory foam?), the bed was comfortable. Suite came with airconditioning, tv and comfortable couches.

The apartment had a small kitchenette which included an oven. We couldn't find anything that was obviously a bin, which is something they might want to look at as...I think it may have been one of the tubs under the sink?

There were three of us staying there. Unfortunately, there didn't seem to be adequate hot water for three people - not an unusual number of people in a 2 bedroom apartment. On the fridge was a not saying they had an 'eco friendly hot water system' and to please have short showers, but there should at least be enough hot water to bathe three people!

Car parking was secure, but very small spots. Location was great - East Perth has gone through massive redevelopment in the past 10 years and is now quite an upmarket suburb.

If they got the hot water fixed up I'd be happy to stay here again if we were traveling with a group or family.

A colleague and I needed reasonably-priced accommodation in East Perth for three nights and the Regal apartments served us well. Location very convenient, if not particularly scenic. The apartment itself (superior 2 bedroom) was well appointed and clean, beds were comfortable and - a real plus - the windows could be opened in all rooms! Staff were friendly and efficient and free on-site secure parking was invaluable.
Breakfast provisions were very basic, but the IGA store was conveniently located, as were a range of restaurants. The carpets in the corridors were a bit grubby, which didn't give the best first impression, but within the apartment was good. I'd definitely stay again.

We (a family of five) stayed for one night at the Regal Apartments prior to our flight home. After having stayed in other lodgings in Perth and Margaret River, this was, frankly, a bit of a letdown.

Ours was a 2 bedroom unit with a rollaway bed for the fifth member of our family. The rollaway bed was rock hard as the so-called mattress was only milimetres thin. Fortunately there were 3 extra blankets in the unit which we used to line the bed. Even then it was barely bearable with the additional layers.

We also had to put up with only one bathroom and one toilet in the unit - not an easy thing to do considering there were 5 of us. I would have expected a decent 2BR unit to have 2 toilet/bathrooms. The balcony overlooks a quiet street, and the green carpet at the balcony looks worn and weather-beaten.

On the plus side, security was good with the use of electronic key to access the carpark and lift area. The carpark was covered and secure (have read about the narrow upper floor carpark from previous posts, fortunately there was ample parking space on the ground floor). The kitchen was well equipped even though there was no dishwasher. The laundry and ironing facilities were adequate. We arrived on a Sunday afternoon outside reception hours. Instructions regarding retrieving the key from the lock box were clear and precise. The receptionist at the counter was polite and pleasant during check-out.

Stayed for three nights. Great location for walking to the WACA to watch the cricket and Nib Stadium to watch the soccer. Supermarket with Indian takeaway and other takeaway just down the street. Right next to the Yellow Cat bus stop. Receptionist lovely and helpful. Apartments were clean and tidy and self contained. Will be staying again.

Recently stayed on business trip to Perth. Pleasantly surprised by both the location and the apartments.

With the apartmets, the security os very good with electronic key required to access lift area nad the building after hours. The apartmet itself is fairly basic but has everything you need, with the possible exception of a bath. The kitchen is well equiped. The bedrooms are spacious as is the rest of the apartment and the beds are comfortable. Also very quiet at night.

Two areas for possible improvemet. I arrived early on a long flight from Darwin. I was hoping that an effort would have been made to service my room, but I had to wait for four hours before entering. It wasn't until I went back a second time to ask, that they hurried things up, and even then I waited an hour. However, I accept the fact that I did arrive early.

The second area for improvment was the carpet in the lounge which was badly stained and in need of replacing. It was clean though.

The apartments are located in a great area. Again everything you need is close at hand, without it being over busy. Good cafe's, restaurants and take aways, Good pub, supermarket and bottle store all within 2 minute walk, plus other services such as banks, massage therapist and speciality gift shops. The Yellow CAT also stops virtually oputside the apartments and come every 8 minutes during normal business hours. Close to very good walks by the Swan River.

Will definately stay again.

We stayed 2 nights early November, With apartment accommodation so hard to find in Perth at short notice we were very impressed with the quality and the price.
Regal apartments will now be our first choice when staying in Perth with kids in tow.
