“great food, traditional French style”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 29 April 2012

We went for dinner as a family party of 12. An excellent evening. The food was outstanding - good, old fashioned French bistro style. And the service was friendly and efficient on what was a very busy night. Special mention for the venison shoulder and the bouillabaisse. Desserts very good, too. Cheese needed to have been taken out of the fridge a bit earlier - that's our only tiny quibble.
We'll go back.

“Seriously good”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 24 April 2012

This is a real gem. Went for dinner last night, first impressions were very positive - looks and feels like a traditional Paris bistro, cosy, intimate and warm. The lady Maitre D' was welcoming and friendly. She also took the time to tell us about the history of the restaurant in Quebec and Sydney prior to settling in Perth. The menu is excellent with a good variety of dishes and interesting specials. Our meal was excellent - especially the duck a l'orange and braised veal cheeks. Nice touches were the basket of bread with an oil, butter and tapenade platter and the bowl of steamed vegetables with the mains. Service was impeccable - professional, discrete and friendly. I also like the fact that it is BYO (bring your own wine).
