We stayed at a friend's place for a week and then decided to spend 2 nights in this hotel to experience inner Perth before we left.

The hotel is in a fantastic location with great views of the Swan River. Hotel staff are super friendly and helpful. We walked into the town center (oops, City Center?) every evening to visit restaurants, so very convenient. We hired bikes from a place not far from the hotel to explore further.

The room was great, absolutely no complaints. Big bed, nice pillows, nice shower in the bath with good pressure. All in all, money well spent I think, and would definitely stay here again.

Dear HummelPummel,

Delighted you chose to stay the 2 nights away from your friends when visiting Perth. And, you enjoyed the sense of place overlooking the river and park. We apprecaite your kind comments and observations around our friendly staff.

We stayed here for three nights and found it to be most enjoyable. The room was clean, room service was good and the hotel's facilities were more than adequate. Staff were friendly, concierge very helpful.
Dinner and breakfasts, although expensive, are probably in keeping with most "chain hotels". We didn't utilise the valet parking option because we were there during holiday periods but otherwise I don't think there would be an option - valet parking is not undercover from what we saw.
Location is good, about a ten minute walk to local restaurants. A front facing room will give you a great view across the recreational area and Swan River.

Dear Phillip

We are delighted you found time to comment on your recent holiday in Perth and aspects of Crowne Plaza. Thank you for recognising the friendly nature of our staff and commenting on the facilities and amenities we offer our guests. We often use the undercover parking bays at the Wilsons parking station nearby and can always provide this as an option if required.

Thanks for visiting, we look forward to welcoming you back again.

Kind regards

Enjoyed a weekend at the Perth Crowne Plaza. Great service, breakfast and lap pool has lovely outlook over the river.

Really lovely staff let down by the rooms which are a little tired. Carpets very dusty in corners, around furniture and behind door. A little mould growing in shower tiles.

Is located within walking distance of city centre, but not right within the centre, however to compensate has lovely views of the river in the front rooms.

Room Tip: If you like a view ask for one.

Decent rather than good would be the best description. It's a fair way from the city centre but less distance to the WACA. We had a room with pleasant views over the river but sadly no availability of the pool or deck. The bedrooms are funcational rather than luxurious but want for nothing. We were disappointed to return on day two to find the bed had not been properly made and the floor not cleaned. We were offered and accepted free breakfasts for two days as compensation so at least an effort was made. Nice friendly staff and top class concierges made things easy for these first time visitors to Perth. Still can't quite see how they can justify $35 for a breakfast when as hotel down the road charges half that.

Room Tip: Make sure the pool is finished

Dear Andrew C,

We apologise for any inconvenience you may have experienced on the occasion we were completing restoration work to the pool; we know there is never a good time to do this work which relies on dry weather conditions. We did however make arrangements for our guests to use the Hyatt pool next door at this time, hopefully this information was made available to you.

The CAT service (Central Area Transit) which is free provides easy access to the city which is one of the attractions of Perth as a city to visit; we do try to assist our guests' getting around this way.

Yes the WACA is only a short walk and great for cricket fans with Queens Park nearby also an added attraction if you are walking across to this venue.

Hopefully we can welcome you back if you are out this way again.

This is our second visit to this hotel which is located to the east side of Perth on the Swan River.

The good points are:
Pleasant reception acknowledging our status as platinum members.
Help with luggage and bags.
Complimentary bottle of wine.
Pleasant size room with King bed
River view from both the bed and the balcony.
Only a couple of blocks away from the free CAT bus into Perth.
One or two decent restaurants within easy walking distance.

The down sides:
Bathroom is quite small though it was clean.
Room not made up until after 3pm by a rather surly maid.
Strong smell on paint or turpentine in the corridor but not in the room.
Limited menu in the hotel restaurant.
Bar and lounge area not very inviting.
