Got a good deal with Citibank Mastercard, Stay 2 Nites Free 1 Nite, plus I got to stay for Another Nite free in Intercontinental Hotel in Singapore as they are running a promotion. Was given Free Breakfast and Welcome Drinks for no reason. View was towards a construction site but you can pay for more to get a better view if you want. Good service generally. Location is great as well. Valet Parking is $20 per day.

I stayed at this hotel for 2 nights last week.
Positives:
* The bed was extremely comfortable. Unfortunately the tv was situated to the side of the bed, which meant you had to lay on your side but this is just a minor issue. Pillows were also spot on.
* Buffet Breakfast - Ample selection. I could choose from all the usual hot food - chicken sausages, grilled tomatoes, bacon, eggs - scrambled/poached/fried, and nice selection of pastries.
* Reception - Friendly and helpful. I wanted to stay an extra night and was told that although the rate would normally be higher they would charge the same rate as what I had initially booked the first night with.
* Concierge - Always smiling. Very friendly and helpful.
* Business centre - free internet on hotel computer! Didn't realise this until the day I had to check out but very handy.

Negatives
* Room outlook - just another cement building.
* Lift - Around 6am, noise from the lift started. Whilst not excessively loud, enough to be annoying.

Postives far outweighed the negatives and would definately stay here again.

From the start of our stay everything went wrong. First the room allocated was actually in the middle of maintenance so they had to change rooms. Then second night in the rooms towels were not replaced and neither were the UHt milks for tea. ANd then finnaly after checking out i realized i had left my coat in the room. After calling the hotel to ask for the coat they took my number and told me they would return my call- which they did not- so i decided to go to the hotel - where it wasnt in lost property. I asked if anyone had checked into the room and they hadnt and my coat was nowhere to be seen. SO stay well away from the Crown Plaza Perth.

I stayed here with my husband for two nights because he had business in Perth.
It is a nice hotel.
Nothing fancy.
But clean, big rooms.
Breakfast is OK.
But expensive......$21 for a continental breakfast seems a bit steep!
But, add $6 extra for a hot breakfast.
We ate dinner here two nights.
It was OK. Just OK.
And relatively expensive for what is offered.
Not sure how much the room cost but I think there are good deals about!

Perth is remarkably easy to walk around.
I walked up to the shops in Hay Street and then down to the water and along the river back to the hotel.
Really pretty !

Stayed here one night with my wife. One of the only hotels in Perth practically on the riverside so it had great views. We did have a problem when we checked in as the room they gave us was below the gym and all we could hear was "thump, thump, thump" from the treadmills right above our room. After an hour it was relentless and unbearable so I complained to the front desk and they did move us to another room. Buffet breakfast is fantastic with huge choice and staff are friendly. A huge plus is that you can park for free right outside the hotel. Bad points are, not very convenient location, quite a long walk into the city and as the rooms were not very large I wouldn't say the hotel is good value. If you can get a cheap internet deal then stay here but there are better value hotels in Perth.

Really enjoyed our 2 night stay at the Crowne Plaza, actually had full river views and not obscured as had happened at other hotels in Perth. Had booked the superior queen river view room , the cheaper river view option and we were not disappointed. We arrived early at the Hotel from an international flight and had to wait as no River views rooms were available, well we were rather early. Given a coffee while waiting in the comfortable foyer area and in no time we were advised that a room was ready for us. Luggage already waiting for us on arrival to our room.

Room not overly large but very comfortable and had superb views over a park down to
the Swan River and at night the lights of South Perth. Nice balcony, quality appointments and most important a very comfortable bed, found that out early as we were so tired from our overnight flight that we grabbed a couple of hours sleep. Bathroom not very large but user friendly.

Used both the restaurant and room service and could not fault either. Good reasonable priced food! Staff in all areas of the hotel were friendly and helpful, the concierge went to no end of trouble helping us with different requests and loaning us umbrella's as we struck some rather bad weather.

The location of the Hotel is somewhat further away from the business area of the City than we expected but just walking up a couple of blocks we could catch the red cat or just one block to the Adelaide Terrace buses. We did actually walk to the city centre on one occasion but it is a long walk.

Internet is expensive but appreciated that connection was only charged per minute so just for some quick checking of emails was actually inexpensive compared to most hotels that charge a daily connection rate. Found the speed of the connection fast so that helped!! Good range of newspapers available for guests in the foyer each morning which was another good service.

Highly recommend the Crowne Plaza for anyone seeking comfort, service and views.

This was the cheapest hotel of our trip to WA as I had used priority club points to pay! It was our last night of a fab trip (see trip report!) and we weren't disappointed.

We checked in at around 12 and the check in was effortless - lovely guy. We fully expected to have to store our bags and get the room later, but a quick call identified that our room was ready. Meanwhile sampled the big jar of scrummy jelly beans at reception! We were given vouchers for complimentary wine or beer in the bar. Nice touch.

Upgraded to river/park view room with balcony on first floor. This is accessed via stairs to the right of entrance rather than the lifts for the rest of the hotel which are past reception and left. Probably the only down side to this area is that it's away from the main rooms and therefore the laundry is a bit of a trek (although it actually wasn't working anyway the night we stayed) Directly below is the outside terrace/coffee area although as it was dullish weather no one was there during our stay.

Room spaciouswith flat screen tv, sofa, desk etc. Lovely outlook across river. Usual facilities, good bathroom and toiletries.

We walked to the Barrack St jetty area - a very pleasant 10-15 min walk across Langley Park. Can get ferries to Rottnest, wine tours, Fremantle and other side of river from here. Also free Blue CAT bus. Pub here called Lucky Shag. Also Bell Tower. Another 10 mins takes you up to London Court and some malls (Hay St and another I think) so I thought location was really good. Also walking distance to the Perth Mint.

On return to hotel we had our free drinks - nice glass of Capel Vale wine. I went to the room to freshen up and there was a complimentary bottle of an even better wine on ice for us! How lovely. The only thing more this hotel could do was pay us to stay there!

Had room service dinner and the ham hock and pea risotto was excellent and the burger and chips fine.

Checkout helpful. Would thoroughlly recommend this hotel as a great base in Perth.
