“Just love the place!!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 28 April 2012

About 4 years ago, we, after much pressure from friends, we joined Club at The Hyatt "CATH" in Perth...which made the Perth Hyatt our "Home" Hotel, when coming up to the city.As such, we have been delighted with the overall package here...enjoying great service and assistance from the CATH Manager, Catherine-Anne, but also, have come to view the Hyatt as our sanctuary in Perth. After probably 30+ nights here, we find that we come to look foward to coming back to the Hyatt, not only because it truly is THE 5 star hotel in Perth...but, mainly because we are treated like we are valued clients, and that they look forward to us returning.
The rooms are spacious, the beds are great, and the restaurant variety gives you the choices appropriate to a Hotel of its stature. The staff call us by name, the ambience is silky smooth and as an all up spend, I believe it is still excellent value despite the 5 star price tag.
It is a business hotel in losts of aspects, catering to seminars, conferences and the "who's who" of the world....but, they to us, they have always valued our custom, despite our lack of celebrity status. We will definately be back again soon.

Room Tip: In summer, look to the rooms not getting the afternoon sun...they can get warm

Dear Gary D,
It is always pleasant to receive positive feedback and especially from a Club at the Hyatt member who we value greatly. It’s pleasing to know you are enjoying the benefits of being a member and that you’ve received exceptional service from the staff and Catherine-Anne. This feedback will certainly be passed on. The staff at Hyatt strives to make each guest feel welcome so that they feel ‘at home’ while staying here. We are fortunate to have such a spacious hotel with larger than average rooms for an inner city Perth hotel as well as fantastic facilities such as the heated outdoor pool, fitness centre and five different food and beverage outlets. We genuinely value your loyalty to Hyatt and we hope to continue in making you feel at home each time you return to stay. We will look forward to welcoming you back in the not too distant future.
Regards,

Flew into Perth early morning Good Friday and was happy to reach the hotel.

No fuss and traditional corparte hotel with all the services and ammentities you would expect. All round consistant and clean and no complaints about the hotel - getting a taxi on the other hand is a freaking nightmare in perth. Hire a car!

Only ever stayed in the Club rooms - amazing. We only stay at the Hyatt now after disappointing visits at other hotels. Staff are great. Definitely recommend upgrading to club lounge and benefits. Large rooms. The MOST comfortable beds. Great water pressure. Impressive views. Can't fault it.

I normally don't complain that much - and after reading the headlines of some other reviews, I seem to differ from the general opinion of this hotel. I do hope my comments are of value to potential guests.

I will skip all the regular stuff; it is a Hyatt and it is a good hotel. You won't make a bad decision if you choose to stay here. However:

- The WiFi solution is very old fashioned, and you have to log in every time your device is in use. For a mobile phone or tablet, this means every time the screen has been locked. A heavy user myself, this is simply too annoying. Good thing is that guests are allowed to use multiple devices.

- The privacy sign on my door was not respected, and I had housekeeping waking me up (jetlag...) and trying to enter my room.

- We ordered a hotel car to pick up a late arriving guest, but the driver was not to be seen because he thought the flight was delayed. Other hotels picked up their arriving guests, though.

- Talking about cars: We were picked up in a highly pimped Chrysler with modified wing doors. I am not really complaining about this, but it is definitely not something to expect from a business hotel

The hotel is a bit far away from the business centre, but this doesn't really matter that much as the city buses are free of charge. There is a bus stop next to the hotel. Anyway, it is just a 15 minute walk.

All in all an OK stay, and I might very well return. But chances are equally as good that I will do some research for other hotels.

Dear ebsen,
Thank you for your detailed feedback. We take all feedback from guests extremely seriously and your comments will assist us in making ongoing improvements to the hotel. We understand your concerns regarding the use of Wifi; we will share these views when we next discuss the service with our provider so we can improve this service for our guests. We express regret for any inconvenience you experienced with housekeeping; this feedback has been passed on to the relevant management. We assure you that your feedback regarding the hotel’s external car service has also been shared internally and we will assess how we can use this service in a way which best reflects the hotel. We value your comments as we continue to strive in making improvements so we are able to exceed the expectations of each guest. We chose this hotel for our one night stay because it wasn't exorbitantly priced as some hotels seem to b ein Perth theses days. Definitely five star from check in to check out. Friendly staff in the cafe at breakfast even though making a macchiato coffee was a bit of a challenge for the barista, but then we are from Melbourne and a tad snobbish about our coffee. Thank you to the staff at the Hyatt for a pleasant stay. If the tarrifs stay at reasonable rates it will be the hotel of choice for our business.

Provides the best value, service and comfort in the Perth area for business traveler. I have stayed here many nights and choose the Hyatt first over many others in WA.

Perth has a few hotels claiming 5 stars. Hyatt Regency in my view is the only one which deserves the status, from the friendly porter welcome to the front desk, bar, restaurants, breakfast and room service, it all oozes charm and 5star style. certainly my preferred location in perth and certainly worth the price tag.

Dear travelmonkeyAU
It is a pleasure to receive your positive feedback and pleasing to hear that you found all aspects of your stay here enjoyable. Our team here strives to exceed the expectations of each guest and it’s great that you also experienced the fantastic service that many people associate with Hyatt. The hotel is fortunate to be one of the more spacious hotels in Perth’s CBD and it has recently had extensive refurbishments to guest rooms and suites as well as its leisure facilities such as the poolside area – I do hope you were able to enjoy these facilities during your stay. We look forward to welcoming you back one day soon so you can once again enjoy the charm of our hotel.
