I only needed a room for a one-night flight layover, and found Miss Maud was perfectly located in the city and reasonably priced.
The staff were very friendly and accommodating. For instance, I had to leave before breakfast time in the morning, so they created a breakfast box for me with some of their wonderful Swedish pastries, fresh fruit and juices. I was surprised to even find stainless steel cutlery in the box.
The interior was somewhat dated. The carpet was worn out and the furniture was old without qualifying for being antique. The wallpaper, and even the door to the bathroom looked tired and in need of some work. The hotel is not disabled-friendly, as there is no avoiding climbing up narrow stairs. I slept comfortably though.
Bottom line: If you're in Perth for a short visit, don't want to spend crazy money just to be located centrally, are able-bodied, and don't mind living with worn-out 1980's furniture, I can absolutely recommend Miss Maud.More
