“Great hotel and comfortable rooms!”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 6 April 2010

My husband and I stayed at Sullivans for 3 nights. We loved it! The rooms were comfortable and cozy. Irma at the front desk was so nice and helpful. The hotel is within walking distance from Kings Park, as well as the city center. They also had free bicycles for use and we were able to get around town easily by using all of the nice bike paths. We would definitely go back!

This hotel was booked as recommended by the conference organisers I have informed them of the appalling place. It was booked as a base by my employers on the recommendation & the website it was smelly old smelling of cat urine,no iron or ironing board in the room had to hunt for the hairdryer, wardrobe small housed the fridge could not hang up clothes as too small when I did my dress was covered in dust.Towels were almost threadbare had to use both to get myself dry. aircon was old had to almost wind it up. the hotel did not resemble the website pictures. When we arrived we had to sign a form to say we would not bring in alcohol or food as there was a bar. it was a cross between Fawlty Towers & students accomodation almost expected Manuel to appear!!!

After reading some previous reviews we were a bit wary of what to expect from our 5 night stay. No worries, clean and comfortable, yes the air con is noisy-switch it off!, yes limited TV channels... on holiday who cares.
Free CAT bus handy.. Kings Park on the door step.. pleasant walks to the City and Matilda Bay..
Booked with Airmiles but would have paid price

This hotel is basic but it does have its good points. It has free car parking and is in a great location. Room are very basic and quite small and a bit old fashioned but they are reasonably comfortable, try and ask for a room away from the road so you get a quieter nights sleep. Thsi hotel really is in a very good location though. The free Black Cat bus service stops right outside the hotel, kings park is just at the back of you and the Swan River is just a short walk accross the road and park. There is an outside pool on floor 2 or 3 I think it was. Breakfast is quite good but just remember you do get what you pay for

We spent four nights and the beds (single) were the most comfortable of any on our trip with snuggly down doonas. The room was small but had a balcony with french doors to let in fresh air. Room and bathroom were very clean. The staff were friendly and helpful. Restaurant food was good. Pool area was nice. Guest laundry available. We liked the location. Could be in the city in five minutes by car and free bus also runs from right outside. Free parking is available at the hotel. Mounts Bay Road runs into the highway to Freemantle so convenient for visits there and to beaches etc. The only down side is probably the hallways which look a little dark. I guess this is because the hotel is old. If you could be beamed up from the foyer straight to the rooms it would be perfect.

It was our first trip to Oz,reception staff were excellent very helpful throughout. The room was comfortable and clean, pool area was clean and pool was good. The location on the boundary of Kings Park (a must day and night views exceptional)is superb, the Blue Cat bus (free) stops right outside the hotel and is excellent. But if you don't fancy the bus there are various ways to walk into town taking about 15/20 mins maximum steady walk. The chefs Anzac biscuits are not to be missed. Perth and the surrounding area are absolutely top class. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

The room was spacious but the shower always got the entire bathroom floor all wet. The front desk staff was very nice and helpful. There was a computer with internet for guests to use free of charge. Biggest drawback was the location. It was a rather long walk from CBD. A bus does stop right outside which made it easy to return to the hotel but to get to town the bus always stopped at the station for about 10 minutes before proceeding into town. Although the stay was pleasant I would probably not stay here again because of the location.
