We loved this hotel. We had a concert to go to at the Perth Arena and this hotel is in walking distance from both the Perth Arena and also the train stain.
It is a small hotel but nicely furnished and it has balconies which are hard to find in perth. The hotel itself is in a quiet street with lots of joggers running past.
Unfortunately there is a huge new apartment complex under construction right out the front and although the noise may be off putting to some people, we found it wasn't too bad. It has spoilt the view of the river though. We could still see the river and can only imagine what the views must have been like before they built the complex smack bang right in front of this hotel.
There is no room service and the restaurant only does breakfast, which we had and it was very nice
Staff were lovely and friendly
Would be stay there again? Sure would, Cant wait.

Room Tip: try to get up as high as possible then you can see more. We had a river view room. Not too sure what...

My wife and I stayed there on Australia Day to watch the fireworks on the river- awesome stay. We requested, booked & received a Riverview Room so as to see the display on the river and thoroughly enjoyed it! Apartment was plenty big enough, the decor has obviously been upgraded from the 1960's beginnings and the bed was comfortable & we slept well - despite the noise from all the festivities from the surrounding roads! We had breakfast at the attached restaurant/bar, service was very slow (Not sure why?), but the food was very tasty. The two staff members we had dealings with on Reception were knowledgeable, courteous and very helpful.

We stayed here for a week in October. We found the room spacious and clean. Perhaps it was a bit dark, but it was situated under the stairs, so I don't think that could be improved. The staff were very friendly and very willing to answer any queries. The on-site coffee shop was very popular with the locals and served delicious breakfasts. It was a pity it didn't open in the evening for meals. This hotel is in an ideal situation. It is within easy walking distance of the City Centre and a few minutes from King's Park, a must-see for visitors to Perth. It is on a very quiet street so little traffic noise - if any. We found this hotel gave good value for money.

The room was spacious if somewhat tired. The aircon struggled to achieve reasonable temperatures. But the external temperature was 42 C. The venue is very quiet and convenient for the shops and transport System, the blue cat is a 15 minute walk away. The venue is also on the edge of King's Park, a must see place.

I've been staying here for a few times due to work and is walking distance to Perth CBD.

The room contains a kitchen which comes in handy if you stay there for a while but for the rest it is pretty basic and a bit dark. The front hotel room balconies are small, there are rooms with big balconies and also some of the rooms have small very old tv's where you have to use binoculars,
Wifi is as usual in Australia overpriced and no difference here so be prepared

But if you want to stay for longer than a week you probably should consider something else

Room Tip: The rooms at the front are nice but there is more traffic noise

I had a basic studio room at the back - no riverwiew for me! It was next to the laundry which fortunately wasn't noisy though the entrance was a tad unappealing.

The room was OK though had certainly seen better days: a naked light bulb in the centre of the ceiling and inadequate lighting for reading. Furniture was a bit tatty and the bathroom had barely any shelving to put cosmetics. No housekeeping unless you stay for a week. But the room had been upgraded so it sort of looked smart. It had quite a large kitchen.

I paid $150 a night, which compared to a lot of other hotels in or near the CBD, was less expensive...but still...the owners could pick up their game a bit. Perhaps the more expensive rooms are a lot better and have views to the city and river.

The position's good, across a footbridge to the CBD, though as a female travelling alone it wasn't near enough to restaurants at night for me.

The best thing about this hotel is the fabulous cafe at the front, which served breakfast and lunch (but alas not dinner). It had great ambiance, helpful staff and a sunny outlook across the street with all the jacarandas in bloom. The hotel is in a pleasant residential street at the bottom of a steep hill.

Room Tip: Go for a second level room with a balcony and a view.

It is a basic accommodation but on a very nice location. You can easily walk to King's Park and the City Centre. The room was clean and big, and had a good shower. I also had a balcony, so I could sit outside. I already made a new reservation for next year.
