We were very pleased with this "home base - old fashioned" while exploring Perth. The accommodations were comfortable, private and clean and their staff also very friendly and polite..

we spent 3 night in the hotel.. this hotel actually is suits for tiny budget on their vacation, but whatever it is, the hotel is located at the prime area which take less 5 min walking to the heart of the city...

the best part are, my wife can cook for us if we dont get enough time to go out..

lovely place, surely come back again...

City Waters provides older style accommodation for a reasonable price in a convenient location. We stayed for 4 nights total on 2 separate occasions in early July. The rooms are quite spacious and functional, plenty of storage. There is a full kitchen. The rooms were clean and comfortable, got good sleep every night. There is WiFi but its not free, I did not try it. They don't supply shampoo. Air con worked well. There seemed to be enough parking on site. There is no lift so there are two flights of stairs if your room is on the second floor. Would be happy to stay there again.

We stayed here for a week. It was convenient, cheap, the staff were very friendly and helpful.
Bed was very hard, the rooms have a heater which we should have probably used but we were hardly there. Walking distance to everything although uphill to get into town. This suited us and also meant we didn't put on any weight the entire trip which is a first!! Little noisy at times but didn't really bother us much as we were out mostly except for sleeping and it was quiet at night.
Most amazing view from the front of the Motel, great walking tracks nearby. Probably wouldn't stay here again but only because we rarely stay at the same place twice unless it's amazing. Great Budget accom.

the apartment is great, with kitchen (fully equiped), bathroom and bedroom. We had a great night of sleep there and it is really good to have your own kitchen (if you like to cook) to prepare your meals at the time that you want. it made quite a difference for us, because in perth everything closes early and usually opens at 8 or 9 in the morning, and the time zone is 11 hours ahead of Brazil so we felt hungry in strange times in our first week in Perth...
the hotel is really close to the city centre (15-20 minutes walking).
However, if you don't need/want to have your own kitchen I advise you to stay in a cheaper place, because the rate per night in City Waters is quite expensive.

Room Tip: we stayed in room number 109, which is in the first floor. The building doesn't have lift, so pr...

Pros:
- Good location just next to Swan River, perfect for a walk or jogging. Reasonable 20-25 mins slow walk to city centre. Near Barrack St Jetty for ferry to South Perth eg. Perth Zoo. Located on a quiet street (though currently some road works outside).
- Comprehensive facilities. Spacious room. Very well equipped kitchen (new gas stove, range hood & microwave convection oven), crockery & cutlery, cookware, toaster, kettle, instant coffee/teabags/sugar/milk provided. Large LCD TV, Sony alarm clock, hairdryer, iron, clothes hangers & extra bedding in cupboard, bath tub nice for soak after long day, dual-flush toilet, soap & towels provided etc. Self-service coin-operated laundry outside including tumble dryer. Night safe for late night arrivals.
- Daily servicing of rooms, unless you don't want to be disturbed.
- Easy to get food & groceries from nearby deli, grocery stores or eating places.

Cons:
- Limited onsite parking. If not driving, have to walk up sloping roads to get to city centre but you get used to it after the first day.
- The beds were ok but the pillows were rather worn out & flat.
- The Aussie style completely enclosed (cannot wash properly) kettle. Boils fast but the water had metallic taste even after 2nd time. Had to boil water using the saucepan, slower but minor quibble.
- Wi-Fi available at a price but reportedly very slow, didn't use it. I bought a prepaid Optus SIM card that gives unlimited calls, SMS & data access for only $2/day.

Room Tip: Had a ground floor room, very quiet at night but was a bit noisier during weekend.

Good price - GREAT location. Good for those who can't afford - or don't want to - eat out every night as apartments have a nice, fully-equipped kitchen. Good for families with Langley Park outside your front door. Walking distance to the Hay and Murray Street malls, car rental companies, Barrack Street Jetty and the Bell Tower. Yes, it is not 5 star, but when you are traveling with young children that is not a bad thing. We have really enjoyed our stays here, and City Waters will be at the top of our hotel list the next time we are traveling to Perth.

The best thing about the motel is it has a good location in Perth and is reasonably priced for Perth centre. The rooms are generally clean but very tired and rough round the edges. The rooms are very old in style and reminded me of what I would expect from army barracks accommodation. Would be fine for a group of friends having a night out round perth but not really great for couples.
