“Between average and good”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 19 November 2013

Stayed for 2 nights, great location, friendly staff and plenty of good food places around (just as well because the place doesnt have its own). The room had king size bed and good room facilities and looked out onto a spectacular view of the cove, The Royal Waterfront Restaurant downstairs was fantastic. Unfortunately thats all the good stuff.

First booking in found out that you were held for ransom with parking, either on the street and risk getting booked, across the road there is a paid parking station or pay $26/night to park downstairs, then we had to cart our luggage along hot and stuffy corridors for what seemed like ages to get to the room

Entering the room was like a sauna, A shower cap was wrapped around the smoking detector so obviously a smoker was previously in there. Over the next 2 days we were constantly adjusting (even during the night) the aircon 1 or 2 deg either way, even on low fan it sounded like a howling wind, the curtains only opened one way so to see the great view outside and while sitting on the bed and/or in the ONE seater lounge we got the big glare and direct sunlight where our heads layed on the bed, so the curtains (pity they didnt open in the middle or be pulled from the other end) were drawn most of the time. Dont know how many times i kicked my toes on the bathroom door stopper, and there was an annoying thunder like sound through out the day and night

The noise from the bar below wasnt a problem as the aircon drown it out, but really wasnt that loud, closed at 10pm

Room was quite spacious, but only had 1 armchair, only other option was the bed, plenty of room for another 1 seater so as both of us couldve had a coffee/drink/meal together.

Would stay again but would go a 1 bedder room with balcony looking north

Dear David B,

Thank you for such constructive comments from your recent stay with us. Whilst we are delighted that you enjoyed the lcoation, and generally our hotel and friendly staff, I am sorry that issues of parking and the air conditioning unit in particular marred your overall stay.

It really is our aim to exceed our guests expectations, so I appreciate that it is these things that are essential to get right. I offer my sincere apologies that this was not the case during your stay.

We would really appreciate an opportunity to welcome you back, and would certainly recommend our One Bedroom Apartments as you mention. We hope to have this chance to improve your opinion and have you enjoy a fabulous experience with us.

With best regards,
Bianca Boultbee

We stayed at the Sebel Residence East Perth for 5 days and the staff were very friendly and helpful. The apartment was very roomy with a great deep bath. Close to everything we needed and a very serene environment. Had a very relaxing time.

Room Tip: Any room would be great

Had the need for a stop over in Perth for a couple of nights. Usually go to one of the main hotels but thought a change was in order. Am I glad we did! The Sebel is located on the main Yellow CAT route (for those who don't know, this is the free bus service in Perth. Therefore easy to get anywhere in Perth city. It is located in a quiet street overlooking an inlet of the Swan river. Plenty of coffee shops, restaurants etc locally doing take-away, BYO or dine in. Delighted with the apartment and the relaxed but efficient manner of the staff. Will always stay here now!!

We are so glad you decided to make a change and stay with us for your last visit in Perth. What lovely feedback you have provided, and thank you very much for doing so.

It is great that you were able to enjoy the surroundings, and the CAT bus, which we all find fantastically convenient!.
