Stayed for one night, in the middle of the week. Top location if you like a stroll along the river, with excellent bars and restaurants along the water front. City access is easy with the yellow CAT bus, stopping out front. I had a hire car, and used the underground car park.

The service at reception was excellent. The hotel room was clean and modern, with a small balcony overlooking the river. The bathroom was a little cramped with shower only, and toilet tucked behind the door, but otherwise fine. The room had a big split system air-conditioner, which was handy with the afternoon sun heating up the room. There was also a minor musty smell present in the room when returning from a few hours out and about. At this time of the year it was good to sleep with the balcony sliding door partly open, allowing a cool, pleasant breeze into the room.

The heated lap pool was a bonus, with great views of the Claisebrook Cove. The gym had plenty of cardio equipment, but no weights or cable machines.

Overall, it was a good experience. I would definitely stay here again.

We stayed here on the long weekend, having stayed previously in December. Once again we could not fault the rooms or the service.

We had a one bedroom riverview apartment. Sensational! The service from the front desk girls was too notch.

Breakfast and dinner at the Royal was beautiful....breakfast at The Partisan however was a little disappointing.

We'll definitely be staying here again. Thankyou!

Helen and Marron

Booked this room as Platinum Accor Advantage member. Upon arrival a sign on reception saying they would be back soon, no upgrade available for Platinum status and had to carry luggage down the steps as no lift below reception level. I stayed 2 nights, first night in a studio apartment and 2nd night in a one bedroom apartment. The one bedroom apartment is really nice with separate bedroom, nice balcony and very nice view of the river, full sized fridge and cooking facilities, room is light and door can be opened for fresh air. Just outside the hotel is a nice walking area around the river and a lovely park close by. Also quite a few restaurants outside the hotel on the river. Also the hotel was a BBQ area with views over the river. I found the rooms really nice and the hotel modern and clean but thought this hotel was understaffed as the poor staff member on reception had to close the desk to show us to our room and again to attend to maintenance issues in the room and even offered to help take our luggage to the room, she did a wonderful job. I would stay at this hotel again and recommend it for a Perth stay.

Room Tip: Would recommend one bedroom apartment rather than studio as the price difference isn't that much...

Dear SusanneIndonesia,

Thank you so much for your recent review on Trip Advisor. I am sorry there was no one at Reception to assist you. As we are a small Hotel, there are some times of the day when the receptionist is required to deliver items to the guest in the Hotel. They are never too far away. I am glad to hear you enjoyed your stay and I hope we get to welcome you back again one day.

Thank you again,

Regards,

Mandy

Dear KimOng2014,

Thank you so much for taking the time to review the Sebel East Perth. I appreciate your wonderful comments but I am sorry you felt the location was a bit out of the way. We are located in East Perth but is just a short 5 minute free bus ride to the city and if you do not need to go into the city, it is like a rural getaway in the city. Hope do we see you again soon,

Thanks again and best wishes,

Sebel is a comfortable hotel. Friendly staff, great location for strolling around the Swan River
Rooms are modern and have all the modcons.
Parking can be an issue. Nearby street parking is not easy to find but there is a council car park close by but not safe at night to wander through.

Room Tip: All rooms I have used have been ok

I stayed here again for 2 nights on business and found the Sebel has not changed at all since my last stay a few years ago. I have tried other hotels in the meantime and they all came up short. The Sebel is in a unique location on the water at east Perth and provides the basics for a good price by Perth standards. If you are ok with using local restaurants for your meals and can live with your room only being serviced every 3 days then the Sebel is for you.
