I had the need to deal with the assistant manager , what a rude , pompous , arrogant man , condescending , judgemental & most unhelpful , down right rude !! The reception staff were ok on checkin , although too busy talking about a tv show between themselves , not professional ! I have stayed here many times , thus will be my last .

This hotel seems to be the same chain as the one in America, it certainly has the same logo. However it is not as big and the rooms are not as well presented. We had a twin room for 3 nights. The room was smallish but adequate. We were not here long so it didn't really matter about the view of a big wall from the window. Wifi is not free, you pay for a package but it is efficient when it is on. You can also use the hotel one in the foyer at a cost of $2 per 20 minutes.

The air con worked well in the room but there was none in the corridors. The room had a desk, 2 chairs, a wardrobe, a fridge and a small table. The bathroom was small and basic but clean and adequate. The shower had a high sill so did not overflow but by turning it one notch the temperature changed from hot to cold, no happy medium. The tiny shelf by the shower unit would only have held a bar of soap, no shower gel container. There was a long glass shelf on the wall which was so high that you would have to be well over 6 ft to stand any chance of reaching it. So no chance for me! They supplied shampoo and conditioner. There were 2 bath towels but only 1 hand towel between 2 and we had to go down and ask in Reception for an additional one every day!!

Breakfast was reasonable in the café attached, the Blue Rock. We also had dinner there one evening. The food was gorgeous but service a bit surly. They said they were busy but they ignored us for 5 minutes before seating us. There are other restaurants close by.

There was free parking but no spaces there or in the overflow car park when we were there. There is a bus stop close by for the free CAT bus to the centre.

The best thing was the staff were very friendly and helpful at Reception. We had a number of problems whilst there, including one of us being ill and they were so nice. Also they helped us a lot with directions, internet and general advice.

Visited mainly for the ashes test match at the WACA, great location for this as due to the severe temperatures we were able to pop back during breaks and freshen up, decent restaurant food and bar with friendly and good service, decent value for price for this mid range hotel.
Hotels cleaned daily, no room safes are available.
Air con in rooms was good, tea and coffee available in rooms free.

Traveling as a family of four passing Perth for a day. Room was clean with a queen/double and two singles. Clean towels and some toiletries. Some tea/coffee sachets.
Our room facing front on level 3 but not street noise.
Air con worked as it hot but also was the problem, the filter could have had a good clean or gone through a deordorizer as it split out stall, bad smell air all day. We should have turned it off if we could but well as it was only 1 day anyway and we somehow forgot about it after a while.
Staffs were friendly and competent; also provided us with free luggage storage area before our flight after we checked out.
The area is nice near city, the hotel has its own restaurant but we tried elsewhere with different types of food. It has a nice lobby with separated counter service area and waiting room.
The waiting room is large, with nice sofas, TV, free newspapers and complement tea/coffee in the morning. Quite comfortable area. It was looking after regularly.
A bonus is it located near the bus stops of the free KAT services and we made use of it to visit the city and elsewhere.

Stayed one night here in mid December in a twin room. The room looked tired and was quite small. It overlooked a pool which was in the block next door.

The check-in was smooth and the TV was replaced after we found that it was on the blink. A very helpful young lad. There was no bath but only a shower which got quite getting used to. Either you were scalded or got blasted with cold water! It was difficult to get a consistent warm shower.

The buffet breakfast was included in the rate and was adequate if not spectacular. A hot breakfast was an additional cost.

A few conveniences and restuarants surround the area if one needed a bite to eat. At the bottom end of Hay Street away from the CBD and within walking distance from the WACA. So great for cricket lovers who need a place to sleep but there are better alternatives in the area at more competitive prices.

Transport was quite easy as the free inner city CAT bus stops are within walking distance of the hotel. Also the pedestrian malls of Murray and Hay Streets are about 15-20 min walk away if you miss the regular Red Cat bus.

Left an item in the room and on calling there was no recollection of it by the house keeping staff which left a bit of a bad taste. The extra pillows in the room were covered in plastic which were good and a first for me.

I stayed at the Comfort Hotel with my mother last week. The reception staff were simply lovely, they were very friendly, helpful and pleasant and they really made a positive difference to our stay. On our last night in the hotel we ate in the restaurant, and the food was exceptional. Really good portion sizes, beautifully cooked and wonderfully presented. Absolute top marks to the chef, the food was amazing. Again, the waiting staff were very chatty, pleasant and helpful. The breakfast too was fabulous. A really good choice of food. The hotel itself is in an excellent location, and the rooms were a good size and had everything we needed. Would definitely return to the Comfort Hotel.

Room Tip: we had room 108 which was away from the road and very quiet
