“It's beautiful!”
Reviewed 16 August 2014

It's still standing there! All the theatres built in the era of this fine Gentleman are gorgeous- it's so lovely we have any old buildings left in Perth. Unfortunately the boom in the 60s led to many such buildings being demolished and replaced by newer styles of building.

“Iconic theatre which is last of its kind in Australia”
Reviewed 14 August 2014

This beautifully designed Edwardian Theatre and Opera House is the last of its kind in Australia. I recently attended a matinee and was delighted at the beautiful architecture and the performance.

“Majestic Building”
Reviewed 11 August 2014 via mobile

Step back in time and enjoy a performance in a building of an era to be cherished. No big crowds, great viewing from all positions. Don't hesitate to attend a performance here. Very intimate.
Saw the Last Confession and enjoyed every moment of it.
Please do as requested at the start of the performance turn your phone to silent....... People don't pay to hear your ring tone.

“Charming Venue”
Reviewed 10 August 2014

Quaint old-fashioned theatre, but has good attractions. We saw a play. As it is so characterful, patrons have to shuffle when going into the seats, there being no walk room, but it is a historic venue, so Perth people don't mind that.

“Architectural Beauty”
Reviewed 24 July 2014

Perth's premier Theatre located in the heart of the "West End" of Perth City, Hi Majesty's Theatre provides a glimpse into the history and wealth of Perth during the Gold Rushes which made Perth the city it is today.

Downstairs at the Maj is also a great, intimate cabaret venue and His Majesty's Museum is a MUST see and includes costumes worn by Dame Joan Sutherland and photo's of many international leading men and women over the decades.
