We were attending a concert at Vector Arena and this has to be first choice for location. Only a few minutes walk through the back lane. Awesome. It was also a wonderful location to supermarket, restaurants, Britomart, Viaduct and shopping. The rooms had washing machine, dryer, dishwasher, oven which are all a bonus as other accommodation doesnt always provide these things. The unit was a good size and comfy sofas. The staff were really helpful. They gave us excellent ideas for attractions and meals. We went to all the places they suggested and they were great. Every staff member was friendly. Even the maintenance person waved to us in the street after he chatted to us in foyer the day before.
My only suggestion is to request a room NOT on the road side. Choose the other side. Despite the double glazing the road is busy. My sister had a room on the other side and it was totally quiet. Would I stay again - definitely. It was good value for our family of 4.

Room Tip: Choose a room on the opposite side of the building to the road. They are quieter.

We stayed 1 night in a 2 bed apartment. The room was clean and had everything we needed. The decor was modern and the staff friendly and helpful.

The room set-up was a bit weird and off putting which didn't ruin our stay by any means but did disappoint. The master bed room appeared to be an add on but I'm not really sure how as it was in the middle of the apartment. It had a double sliding glass door and glass panels as highlight windows on the wall adjoining the other bedroom. The end result was a bedroom with no ventilation and an overall creep feel to it.

This is the perfect place to stay if you're going to an event at Vecta Arena. It's a very short walk from the apartments to the arena. The staff were friendly and very helpful. The room (up on the 10th floor overlooking the Arena and the harbour) was a good size, modern and clean with a 40" TV in the lounge and a 32" in the bedroom. Our rate included breakfast and full use of the Waldorf Lounge where we could get "proper" coffee :) The breakfast was really nice, healthy with plenty to choose from. The only complaint we had is that the bed was too hard for us, but this would certainly not stop us from staying here again.

If you are with a group of friends coming to Auckland for a show at the Vector Arena, I suggest staying at the Waldorf Stadium Apartment hotel. It is 2 minutes through a back door to the Arena. We booked a 2 bedroom apartment, and with 4 of us occupying the room, the price went down very well. The decor is modern and clean. We had a tiny balcony facing a commercial street. The area is not really that close to Queen street, and most restaurants are closed by the time your show ends. There are a number of noisy discos near the waterfront, but not within hearing distance to the hotel. As with the other reviewers, I found the nail polish and shoe shine amenities rather strange, and liquid soap dispensers in the shower and sink too much of backpacker ambience. I suppose at these prices free wifi is too much to ask for. Wifi is available but at a small cost.

We had a booking at the Waldorf Celestion but when we arrived they had overbooked so had us check in at the waldorf Stadium instead. The room was fantastic with everything you could want provided, Flat screen TVs ib lounge and bedroom, cooking facilities, dishwasher, washing mashine and dryer. It was modern clean and comfortable. Only downside was we paid to have breakfast in the dining room and that was dissapointing.
