This was one of the stand-out activities of our NZ trip. Around three hours sail around the harbour, under the bridge, watching some of the races in progress, hearing interesting anecdotes about various boats that we saw - and we felt we were in good hands, with a very professional and experienced captain and first mate (also very laid-back and entertaining!). Dinner below was a proper sit-up affair, food (catered by dockside restaurant) was fresh, tasty and nicely presented, and there was a small bar to buy drinks. We were invited to take our desserts and drinks up on deck to enjoy the spectacular harbour views. Also invited to take the wheel if we wished! This is a small group activity (there were 9 of us that evening, I think about 12 is the maximum) which helped make for an informal and relaxed atmosphere. A winner!
