Had the pleasure of the regular Sunday Buffet Feast. Seafood buffet choices included local salmon, oysters, mussels, lobster and crab. the meat mains allowed choice of exotics such as ostrich, venison and dry aged angus. Selected from a cool display and cooked to perfection while you choose your sides. Salads and deserts beyond expectations. No regrets

Way over priced, not good value
8 kitchens
1, indian you can pick up a $10 curry most nights that is way better
2. seafood fish you mean and cheap fish at that
3. dim sum 4 tower of dim sum hardly a kitchen
4. gril the best they had was rump steak wtf u kidding right
5. sushi and Sashimi well one very small plate of Sashimi that one guy wiped out and was not refilled. I asked for more and was ignored. The sushi was St Pierre's at best
6. salad was averge at best
7. pasta DRIED PASTA at $129 per head you would expect fresh pasta
8. desert was just ok

over all if you been on a cruise the buffet on a cruise is way better and does not cost $129 per head DONT BOTHER

Little did I know my birthday falls on Chinese New Year so if your lucky like me you get to pay extra little did we know. I loved paying 150 bucks for basic macaroni cheese and 2 glasses of coke. Food did not appeal nor dessert and the aromas failed to compliment each other. Will never return. Real hard to figure out the parking situation also

Went for dinner with my partner for his birthday and to our surprise when we got the bill they charged us an extra $30 each because it was Chinese New Year which we hadn't been told about. Total bill of $306 for two people was very very expensive and won't be returning. My partner only had pasta and sauce and pizza. Worst experience ever.

I had experienced 8 Restaurant when it was nder the banner of Langham Hotel. It's the first time since being under the banner of Cordis I havisited again, and I was execting something great, but I did not feel the WOW I was expecting. For the cost of nearly $100 it was just another lunch with nothing to brag later about. The area where the different food were displayed, served, and cook was very tight and one had to squeeze at times around other guests to get to some of the dishes, esecially when peple were waiting for their food being cooked. The food itself was average although the service provided by the waiters were excellent. The restaurant was not anywhere near half its clientelle capacity and they were mainly oversea's visitors. The locals seem to have stayed away not because of the price but under new management (Cordis) the quaity of food offered and how it was presented was not so inviting. Also, trying to navigate through other seated guests with plates of food was awkward, esecially near the food service area. The management needs to provide a clear passage for guest to walk and pass through unimpeded as it was the case when 8 Restaurant was under Langham. I'll probably give it one more try in a couple of months and make up my mind then whether to stay away for good.
