The hotel decor & the rooms are great. The location is excellent, close to the water. The staff are very friendly & helpful.
I could only find one negative & that's the internet. Firstly they charge for it which is pretty unacceptable in this day & age. Secondly it doesn't work half the time & thirdly, when it does work it's the slowest internet connection I've experienced for 10 years. I suspect it's connected with string & tin cans. If they'd fix that, which is an absolute prerequisite for a decent hotel these days, then they'd get an excellent rating!

Room Tip: Ask for a room on the side facing the water rather than the road.

Recently stayed in this hotel and found it perfect for our needs.
Staff attentive, room spacious especially the full size bath! And every need here attended to
Beautiful view from our balcony room.
Loved the French accent even down to the marmalade!
I will return, it is what I expect and enjoy in a hotel.

Room Tip: Ask for water views

This hotel is extremely well located on the vibrant Auckland waterfront and presents a confident edgy presence at the waters edge. The staff are superb - mostly eastern european exuding a touch of class - they are professionally coiffured - immacutely turned out in very stylish uniforms and at all times very attentive and proficient. The rooms are superb, extremely well proportioned with execllent fittings and furnishings. The room rate for a superior room was extremely good value. There were a couple of issues that I raised during our stay but they were answered in a professional manner and I was satisfied with the response. This is a French owned hotel and the little bonjours here and there were very orchestrated but a nice little touch in the heart of Auckland. I am a New Zealander who lives in France for part of the year so the little French touches help remind us of our other home.I would highly recommend this hotel to discerning travellers.

Room Tip: The superior room is more than adequate - no sea view but plenty of other spaces to enjoy the locati...

We stayed one night on a stopover. Room was small for the money, the tap at our mini bar did not work at all. Bed was small so next time would get a twin room to get two beds. Buffet breakfast including hot food was nearing $40 per person which is pricey for brekkie, I would dine off the a la carte menu instead. Would not choose to stay again.
