I can't imagine how anyone has given this a 'terrible' review. This is a very classy 5 star hotel in a great location and with great staff.
My only negative is that even though it's 5 star, the bar doesn't have to charge an arm and a leg for wine by the glass. Once you start topping the $20 mark for 180ml of vino, it's pushing the friendship. And the bar itself does not match the quality of the rest of the hotel. You're much better off walking the 500m or so down to the bar and restaurant area of viaduct for a tipple.
And yes, like all 5 star hotels they can't find their way to include wifi. It's simply criminal that the big hotels are getting away with this. When you're paying 300 bucks a night for a sleep you'd think a free internet signal could be included. If backpackers can offer it up, why can't the big hotel chains. It's a disgrace. Rant over...
