We booked this hotel in March 2012 mainly due to its location. It is right in the heart of downtown Auckland, just next to Sky Tower and within walking distance to shopping areras, harbour, bus stop, supermarket, restaurants etc. It is very convenient for travellers who do not drive in Auckland.

Next, since we are a family with young kids, we chose to saty here because our 2-bedroom apartment comes with a full kitchen, washing machine and dryer.

Lastly, we booked online at a quite reasonable price for 2 nights stay.

We stayed at 13th floor, which turned out to be a nice unit. There was no unbearable noice, and it was very clean and spacious. There were windows at Living room and both bedrooms which offered nice city views, Both bedrooms were equiped with queen size beds.

The bathroom was clean, and big enough to accommondate the washing machine machine and dryer. The Kitchen was fully equiped and very clean. The staffs at the reception were friendly and helpful.

However, besides all the good point above, this hotel has its shortcomings.

Firstly, it is more of an apartment than a hotel. It lacks those standard amenities of an usual hotel, and the entrance and lobby are not impressive at all. Although the place is very clean, the building itself and all the furniture are not new.The interior decor of the unit is quite plain too.

We would recommend this place to those who are a bit backpacker style, who prefer a convenient and clean place to stay at reasonable price. If you happen to pay a hefty price for it and have high expectations for somethings there are fancy, trendy or high standard of services, you may be disappointed.

Very nice central hotel, 2 bedrooms, kitchen etc etc, spotlessly clean and lots of extras, tea, coffee etc. Only annoyance is that you have to pay $14.95 a day for WIRED INTERNET. They should really add that into the room price!! And it should be Wireless in this day and age.
Apart from that it is a great hotel right in heart of the action.

Room Tip: It can get noisy, so the higher you are the better!!

My partner and I stayed here for three nights recently and, while it was reasonably priced, the rooms left a lot to be desired. Poorly set out and no character or comfort at all. I've stayed at other hotel/apartments in the CBD which are much nicer and wouldn't stay at the BW again. (E.g. The Warldorfs are nicer) Also note you have to pay $20 a night for car parking. The staff were friendly enough.

Great location, downtown, easy parking (fee), room with kitchenette. For those who enjoy shopping, the Queens St. is steps away. Near the Sky Tower and good restaurants. Large room and good shower.

Excelente localização, downtown, estacionamento fácil (pago), quarto com kitchenet. Para quem gosta de shopping, a Queens St. está a alguns passos distante. Perto a Sky Tower e bons restaurantes. Quarto amplo e bom chuveiro.

Central location, 50 metres from supermarket, 150 metres from Sky Tower casino, bus stop, out front and various restuarants close by. Double room for 4 adults, was roomy, clean and well appointed with large fridge & cooking facilities. All fror a very reasonable price. If you have a car though prepare ahead as car park is at back via a couple of little lane ways so ensure you have planned ahead. though $20 for car park is reasonable. If you are a ceoliac though restuarant has low awareness of requirements, but would not hesitate to return.

Room Tip: didnt notice any particular thing though I guess a view out the front would be better

I booked on Expedia at a knocked down price, and was a little apprehensive having read mixed reviews on Trip Advisor. I was given a large and immaculate room on 14th floor which included a fridge, sink and microwave (ideal for making breakfast) and the found the bathroom, linen and room cleaning to be to a very high standard - a surplus of toiletries etc. Reading the reviews, it sounds as if the upper floors have been refurbished but not the lower ones.

They were happy enough to provide a freebee newspaper in reception, and were friendly and attentive. Internet is additional and a bit pricey by the day (NZ15) but more affordable by the week (NZ60).

it is a slightly odd hotel, with an unpreposessing reception area and benches outside which attract the homeness. But it is very central, very good value and well placed for getting around. It is also so central that you can walk anywhere, and use your hotel savings for some memorable activities - sailing an America's Cup yacht and taking the ferry to Rangitoto to climb the volcano are both to be recommended. .

Room Tip: Go as high as possible.
