We had a great stay at the Hilton Auckland. The room was very spacious and greatly designed. Breakfast was fantastic, try to get a table outside o their terrace, its the perfect spot to start your day. The Bar area is very cosy and comfortable with exceptional wait staff. Special thanks goes to Marcos and Gustavo. Those two concierges deliver by far the best service and local knowledge one could expect. Thanks everyone at Hilton Auckland, you made our stay memorable!!

Dear VaciAVaci

Thank you posting your review on TripAdvisor. I am delighted you enjoyed the experience at Hilton Auckland and that the team took good care of you. Bellini bar & FISH restaurant certainly do boast a unique waterfront location where one can relax in the ambience of the city’s harbour views. We hope to have the opportunity to welcome you back on future travels.

Kind regards, Roger.

Superb location on the end of a wharf, attentive staff, clean rooms. If functions are on - like weddings - and the guests are staying in the hotel it can be noisy as they shout and carry the party on in the hallways. Easy parking onsite, close to lots of restaurants and plenty to do in the CBD a five minute walk away.

A great accommodation and great central location for a stay in Auckland. Reasonably priced with well-equipped rooms and very good service, even nightly turndown. Located very near the ferry station, which is a convenience for traveling to Waiheke Island and other spots that require such transport. The port area is also picturesque and fascinating. We had a corner room on the 7th floor, which had ample space and great views of the city and boat docks (not the main harbor), with a wrap-around balcony. It's probably not worth the extra charge for a bayview room, as one can take in the bay view any time by going to the lobby or Fish restaurant or outside. However, an advantage would be more privacy relative to the adjacent condo building that shares the wharf. A giant cruise ship moored at the neighboring wharf, but it did not seem to make noticeable noise. The breakfast at the Fish restaurant had a very diverse spread and was generally excellent. Our main compliant was about the omelet station, as the cook constantly overheated too much oil in the pans and caused it to smoke and flash, which produced a foul smell in that section of the restaurant. After recognizing this problem, we asked to be seated in the other section that was largely isolated from this assault to our senses.

Room Tip: Size of the rooms may decrease a bit as the floors go up.

If you're staying in Auckland for the first time (I was), you can't go wrong with The Hilton. The magnificent location centrally located on the waterfront can't be bettered and the staff are friendly and helpful. The buffet breakfast view is worth every penny.

Room Tip: Ask for harbour view, upper floor

We recently arrived in Auckland on a cruise ship and witnessed the transfer of hundreds of people into and out of this hotel. The staff did an excellent job of managing the chaos and the pandemonium very, very well! If you are embarking or disembarking on a cruise from Auckland, this is an excellent location that is easy walking distance to the ship. In fact, the hotel is part of the dock! While we got to the hotel very, very early am as people were checking out, despite the confusion, they were able to store our luggage, check us in, give us access to the shower in the gym and then texted us later when our room was ready. As there is no executive lounge in this hotel, they provided us a bottle of wine in our room and complementary drinks at the bar. The concierge was also able to make dinner recommendations and reservations for us. The room was clean and spacious and, for the first part of the day, the ship blocked our view of the city but, once the ship departed, we had an excellent view of Auckland downtown from our balcony. Would definitely stay here again on my next trip to Auckland.

Room Tip: Request a room by the harbor so you can see the city.
