We stayed at CityLife to enjoy a "night on the town" for my birthday. From the moment of arrival until we departed we felt that all the staff really cared about our comfort.
We have travelled extensively in the UK and Italy and felt that the Hotel staff were much superior to any we have met anywhere in Europe and are to be congratulated for their service.
We will certainly return at our earliest opportunity and will recommend this hotel to others.

Spent a weekend with an appartment. Not really as spacious as I expected. Hotel foyer is impressive but there after not so good. Hotel crammed into central area - good for Sky tower and night life, but bring ear plugs for weekend noise. On my floor there was a terrible smell of solvents all weekend - this was more than paint thinners. Wifi was not free - why? Staff were attentive but felt that value for money was poor. Think you can do better.

I have 2 words for the hotel owners - DOUBLE GLAZING!!! We stayed on the 21st floor in an upgraded 1 bedroom suite & thought we wouldn't be able to hear all the noise of late night revellers on Queen St. But we could hear every scream, shout, fight & raucous laugh from 10pm until approx 6am the next morning. Even if it hadn't been noisy we couldn't sleep on the sagging mattress that had collapsed in the middle & my husband ended up trying to sleep on the sofa in the lounge. I made do by propping pillows against my back, but to no avail.
I have read the hotel's responses to previous comments about noise ie. working with the council, blah blah blah. What a load of rubbish! What do they expect the council to do, barricade Queen St after 10pm so no-one can walk past the hotel? If they installed double glazing you would not hear any noise, end of story. But that would involve spending money, so don't hold your breath & book elsewhere instead.
