Hi if you are coming to Auckland the Park Regis hotel does not deliver room wise on there web site. We booked 3nights at the hotel in a queen size room as shown on there web site, when we arrived we were given a room with a double bed and a single bed and a little kitchen,nothing like the picture we saw when we booked. We asked about this but was told that was the room if we did not want to stay they would try and find another hotel for us all well and good but every where was more expensive.We decided to stay where we were then at 12.00 we discovered we are above a night club.Music finished about 2.00 am complained but hotel unable to do anything. The next morning we complained and were told 27 people had complained that morning on check out. The hotel moved us to another room instead. Overall the whole place could do with being refurbished as the carpets in our rooms were stained and finger marks over the ceiling from repairs.
I have stayed in better motels for less on my trip. Beware no wi fi in rooms unless you want to pay 30 minutes in lobby for free won't be staying there again.

Having recently taken over the management of the property we have identified a number of areas of concern and must apologise as some of these concerns were evident during your stay

We are in the planning stages of a major refurbishment which will upgrade and improve facilities across the board. It would be great to get you back in future to experience all the planned improvements.

We paid for 3 nights but stayed only 1 as the street noise went on until 5am! The hotel is very basic and rooms are extremely small, felt like a cell. I can only advise that if you really have to stay here, avoid weekend days, they are the worst. When I complained to the manager, he offered me ear plugs!! This was a first for me!!

Firstly thank you for your feedback. We value any and all feedback with the view to improve our services based on the feedback of our customers.

Our group is in the process of refurbishing the Park Regis Auckland as well as other properties in the group. Our plans include totally overhauling the rooms and bathrooms to bring them up to a much higher standard and aim to resolve the issues that you mentioned along with many other improvements. We are aware of the occasional noise issue from surrounding pubs and clubs. This problem is being approached from many angles including recommendations from an Auckland based sound engineering firm.

Unfortunately we have not concluded the processes mentioned as they do tend to take a while to complete.
Please accept my sincere apologies for not living up to your expectations but I can assure you that once we have concluded works we will certainly leave a lasting and very positive impression.

I urge you visit again in future to experience the changes

We booked through Hotels.Com with no problems. The hotel is in a central part of the city close to transport be it train, bus or ferry. Plenty of wonderful eateries and bars all around. The hotel itself is tired, our first room on the first floor was like a prison cell, the second room on the same floor at the other end wasn't much better. The bed was comfortable but that is the only nice thing I can say. Wednesday night we found out is Karaoke night so no sleep until the early hours of the morning. Stayed in this hotel ten years ago with our children and grandchildren when the Mecure had it and it was fantastic. I would not stay at the Park Regis again. Try going somewhere else.

Thank you for your feedback. We do indeed find ourselves in the heart of Auckland’s newest dining and entertainment precincts. This along with the planned refurbishment of the property will create a boutique styled experience that will leave a long lasting positive impression. In the interim we are feverishly working on solving the occasional noise issue coming from some of the clubs in the vicinity and hope to have satisfactory solution soon.

I urge you visit again to see for yourselves the magnificent changes we are undertaking.

We booked this room through Wotif.com however despite the description of the property saying that the they have WiFi and internet in the rooms it does not exist. The property is in a fantastic location being in walking distance from the water front and in the heart of the city. This however is one of the only positives of the hotel. The property in general is very tired and dated the decor in the rooms and bathrooms looks run down and in need of renovation. The bed was comfortable however that was a positive as I was also kept awake for a number of hours due to the music coming from a local bar or nightclub from about midnight through to early in the morning.Their is no mini bar in the rooms and Avery basic continental breakfast is offered. The room rate is still high in comparison to the better hotels in Auckland. Try elsewhere.

Room Tip: Good luck you will need it!

I am pleased that you found the beds to be comfortable and enjoyed the central location. Having recently taken over the management of the property we have identified a number of areas of concern and must apologise as some of these concerns were evident during your stay. The high room rates during your stay reflected an extraordinarily busy period in which room rates across the city were inevitably high.

We are in the planning stages of a major refurbishment which will upgrade and improve facilities across the board. These improvements are aimed at transforming our classic heritage building into a standout, exciting and trendy hub from which to explore the cream of Aucklands nightlife. Major improvements are also scheduled for the rooms and facilities. It would be great to get you back in future to experience all the planned improvements.

I'll keep this short and to the point. The hotel is located close to the harbour which has all the shops bars and cafes so it i great from that point of view. Room wise the sink was coming off the wall, we were kept awake all night by people shouting all night, probably coming out of the clubs, (this was a wednesday night- so not even a weekend). We had just landed from the uk so it was a bit annoying after a while. I phoned down to get some more of those milk capsules and i was told they dont do delivery to rooms- no problem i said ill come down and get them, to which they said no, we'd have to buy a Full breakfast to get them... What? I did het them in the end but it wasnt without hassle!

Quick tip - I recommend going up fort street and checking out a bar called fort union - great roof terrace and food at a reasonable price. (Fort street is right next to the hotel).

Horrible experience. Could not get to sleep till 5am when noise from club below finished. Asked reception if I could change room because of noise, receptionist apologized and stated he was aware of the noise on the weekend however they had no other rooms free. On check out I was informed that I would be receiving a hotel voucher for my stay however this has not happened. Highly disappointed with this hotel would never stay here again. Even the windows vibrated from the noise.

I am glad to see that you rate our rooms, cleanliness and location so highly. Our central location does mean that the vibrant nightlife can sometimes be noisy. My apologies for your bad experience. We have undertaken a program, in collaboration with club owners, to reduce any noise issues. A free breakfast voucher should have been forthcoming also. Hopefully we can entice you back to experience the many changes we are undertaking as part of a major refurbishment.

Great Location
Just a block away from the shopping centre, the wharf. New World (Supermarket) is on the opposite side of the road near the Air Bus Stop.
Room was clean and had all the basic facilities and fit everything I needed.
The shower was nicer then the Mecure around the corner.
I believe the two were of a similar quality although Park Regis is much cheaper.
