We have just returned from a 5 night stay in a 2-bedroom grand corner apartment and were very impressed. Our apartment was on the 14th floor and we had a good view of the harbour and ferry wharves, albeit framed by office towers. The balcony was huge and we spent many hours there reading and watching the activity on the harbour.

The apartment itself was clean and very large for inner-city and had everything we needed, inlcuding laundry powder, dishwasher detergent, bathroom amenities etc. The two bedrooms were very private from each other, separated by the large lounge / dining / kitchen areas. There was also a separate laundry room with washing machine, dryer, ironing board, etc, Aside from the space, we find the laundry facilities to be one of the biggest conveniences of staying in apartments.

The internet in the rooms was a bit pricey so we used the free wifi at the reception area. Obvioulsy not as convenient, but it was a relaxed area with pleny of comfy seats and low tables and it seemed there were always others doing the same.

We never made it to the cafe/bar so can't comment about the quality. Despite the numerous options in the immediate and surrounding areas, there were times we would have been happy to sit in the hotel bar and have a few drinks. Likewise, there were afternoons or nights that we would have eaten-in at the cafe (we made our own breakfasts). However as many have noted, the place closes at 1pm. We didn't go hungry (or thirsty!) during our stay, but closing a cafe/bar at 1pm does seem a little unusual.

Our apartment on the 14th floor was a bit noisy at times - the soundproofing was okay but didn't completley block out the sirens, roadworks and general buzz of the city. Comes with the territory I guess and the noises weren't loud enough to prevent us from sleeping well.

The staff we encountered were all friendly and helpful and all up, we really enjoyed our stay. For tourists in Auckland the location is perfect and we would stay again without hesitation.

Room Tip: Better views and reduced noise the higher you go.

Hi NorthernRiversNSW,

Thank you for your recent feedback and comments.

With regards to our Cafe we open this in the mornings for those that need a shot of freshly made coffee. We have found that with the style of our hotel being apartments guests enjoy the flexibility to prepare their own meals. We have a supermarket within in 5 minutes of the hotel and are blessed with choice when it comes to Restaurants and Bars within close proximity.

Once again thank you for your feedback and we look forward to welcoming you back.

Kind regards, Shane Edwards - General Manager

Hi All,

As Cabin Crew, being able to stay at industry rates has meant being able to check out many (almost all of the Hotels/Motels/Apartments) Hotels/Motels/Apartments in the Auckland region, with heavily discounted rates, which is why for value I would rate this as the best Hotel in the region for what I paid.

By comparison to Two bedroom apartments in the area that have cost far more (even with industry rates), this is by far the best presented and largest (separate King size bedroom, separate lounge, good sized bathroom with bath and separate shower, separate laundry washing drying facilities and kitchen all in the one decent sized apartment) that I have stayed in and the customer service in spite of having a discounted rate, far exceeded any expectations I had (including exceeding standards of places I have paid full rate for).

The staff where not only exceptional in their standard of Customer Service, but had a genuine care for me and my partner while staying, going so far as to even ask if I/my partner had a good sleep and if there was anything that could be done to make my stay more enjoyable.

The gym, swimming pool, sauna and spa area was a fantastic place to relax and unwind and even though in the heart of the city, I experienced almost no noise and had a peaceful sleep and was able to thoroughly enjoy what I felt was like a home away from home (a near impossible feat, when you are used to the comforts of your home).

A plus was not having the generic alarm clock and instead having a alarm clock that had i-Dock, so that I could listen to my own music, adding further to the feeling of being at home experience.

They even offer long term accommodation, so if you were traveling to Auckland and where worried about being homesick, this is a definite must. There is enough space to be able to entertain, as the living area is a decent size and there was a huge balcony off both the bedroom and lounge area, which provided an amazing view of the harbor and surrounding area.

So if you are on business, a couple or family who needs space, this is the place for you. We may have stayed during a quiet period, which was fantastic as Adita and her Manager (the reception staff member's who are a real Treasure) made sure we had the best room possible and went to no end to make us feel welcome.

When I am in the area and need a place to stay in Auckland, this will be where I come back to for sure.

Room Tip: Talk to Adita at reception, she is as stated a real Treasure and has a genuine interest in your well being while you stay. Note there is not a full resuraunt, but Adita who also takes care of the cafe makes a brilliant coffee, so you can start the day feeling fresh focussed and alive.

Style and simplicity beautifully balanced
Spacious and one of the best equipped Kitchens I've seen in some time.
Comfortable beds
Spotless and faultless house keeping
Helpful friendly staff at Reception.
Great location for getting our an about in the city.
Loved the indoor swimming pool, looking into the city, well maintained and kept clean.
One hotel, i don't mind paying a little extra for, as it is well worth it.

Lovely large apartment, great to over come jet lag. good kitchen and laundry facilities. Chose harbour view room and yes we got a great view.

The only let down was, internet could only be used on one device, this 2013, a room for 2 must at least have 2 sign on's??
