My wife and I stayed in a room with a so called city view, we got one that look straight at the road. Make sure you do not get one there as it is noisy from traffic and drunk people! The hotel location is great and the room is clean and tidy. Average hotel have stay in better in the Auckland central.

Plus: Great location, close to everything, rooms spacious, modern and clean.
Minus: Great location comes with a price and unfortunately for me it was lack of sleep. Hotel sits about the Viaduct so even during the week you have the constant noise of restaurants and bars till at least midnight.
Hotel is smoke free but my room had a strong lingering smell of cigarette smoke.

We stayed in this hotel for three nights whilst visiting Auckland based on our frequent use of Sebel hotels in Australia. This was our first visit to Auckland and we were blown away by the location of this hotel ,right on the harbour foreshore and surrounded by restaurants, most of which have charge back arrangements with the Sebel.
The room was a fully equiped serviced apartment with excellent facilities which enabled us to prepare our own breakfast each morning. Full room service was however available if required.
The staff provided excellent service whatever the request. The suite we had the first night had some unfortunate mechanical humming which was annoying but after a question to the reception staff our belongings were relocated the following day to another suite whilst we were out sightseeing. We requested that this room have opening windows if possible and this was accommodated.
The room rates for this hotel are very reasonable considering the quality and fantastic location. Apart from the restaurants, proximity to the harbour and marina which is definitel;y worth wandering around the main shopping area of Queen Street is just a few minutes walk. There is also a well stocked convenience store within 50 metres of the hotel.
This hotel is definitely worth high consideration when visiting Auckland.

We stayed at Sebel Apartments over the Christmas period having travelled via Singapore from the UK

As one of few flights out over a snowy weekend we appreciated even more the excellent room overlooking the harbour (they had upgraded us), the cleanliness and great room and the location

Auckland was brilliant, friendly, vibrant and a great place to stay. Would recommend this apartment very highly. Viaduct Harbour is much more about couples than families but this was still a great location for us.

As close as you can get to the Viaduct with harbour eateries, night spots and watering holes. Only a short stroll to the Sky Tower and Casino if you are inclined.
One side of the hotel gets fantastic views and the other gets a high rise parking station. I had a cheap room so got a nice view of the parking station. If the view is important, make sure you check with the hotel which side you will be on.
When you select 'internet' or 'breakfast' options it is an either/or decision. I thought the internet was an upgrade to include the breakfast option but it was not.
Also, they are currently renovating the pool and gym (which is next door to the hotel) so if using the gym is important to you (as it was for me) they will give you a voucher/discount to attend another gym a short distance away. Instead of using the Gym, I did a run along the foreshore which conveniently has km markers up until 5km giving you a 10km return run course.
Breakfast at the Mecca is good and you can easily add the meal to the room charge.
All in all a convenient place with nice rooms, all the mod cons you could need and cheerful staff without attitude.
I was content with my stay here and when in Auckland again, would stay here for business.
