I recently stayed at the Kiwi International for two weeks while in Auckland for work. Room was small though well-appointed and made good use of the available space. Restaurant and bar won't set the world on fire but are great places to have a quiet meal and beer. You are in walking distance to many other eateries anyway. Noisy on Friday and Saturday nights but, well, you are in the heart of a city so I'm not sure why others have been complaining about this. The only negative would be some inconsiderate quests making irritating noise at all hours. Well done to the manager on duty though for telling them to STFU.
Will be back.
