We stayed here for 1 night en route to Tahiti. It was quite a good location. Rooms were a bit shabby but did the job. Very basic but clean. Good for a quick stopover. NeAr to express bus stop back to the airport.

Thanks for your review. Our Economy rooms are basic but of course this is reflected in their being excellent value. Most of our standard rooms however are much better appointed and provide everything the on the go traveller needs.

my daughter and i spent 5 nights at this hotel .we had a room with onsuite bathroom the room was well presented clean and tidy all we could ask for. we found the staff to be polite and no requests where refused example i requested extra pillows which was not aproblem.the location of this hotel was excellent.if you are looking for a place to sleep at reasonable rates i would suggest you book here for location service and clean rooms.

Room Tip: rooms with onsuites are my prefered option i cannot comment on shared bathrooms as we did not use them but if they are like the rooms the cleanliness would be up to standard

An excellent location in downtown Auckland, walking distance to many attractions. The price was better than many of the other nearby hotels.

However, it felt more like a hostel than a hotel. The rooms were very small. But if you're just looking for a place to crash (as we were), the Kiwi International Hotel is a great choice.

We highly recommend the breakfast - very tasty and huge, really fills you up!

Thank you for your review and positive comments. We're pleased you appreciated the value and location which is what we are all about. We are definitely not a hostel but at the value end of full service hotels. For example we don't have valet parking but instead you can park your own car at no charge.

Stayed in a double room with included bathroom. Boiling hot shower and decent room for the price. No spare pillows do you have to be used to sleeping with one. No heating systems in the room and as per other reviews, is not the most quiet place. However, AMAZING Breakfasts and great staff.
would return here again if on a budget

Many thanks for your review. Your title "Great value, perfect location” really sums up what the Kiwi Int Hotel is all about. The hotel is centrally heated and all rooms except for a few have in room raditator heating. The others have portable heating as required. We'll pass on your enthusiastic comments on the breakfast to our chef.

Stayed in their single economy room for 1 night before flying home. Location wise it is great; near to everywhere. Check in/out was smooth and they also provided luggage storage. Luckily my room was easily accessible from the elevator. It was small, as expected, with shelf, cloth hangers, and wash basin which were useful. Very quiet because overlooking the inner courtyard. The bed turned out to be very comfortable; one of the best during my NZ trip. And I also love the colorful paintings they have in the corridor and your room; really lightens up the mood. Now the CON: when I entered the room, it smelt damp. Opening the window for fresh air air did help. Ladies shower and toilet were located at the end of the hall. Though they need interior facelifts, all worked well. However, I was not comfortable with the long walk in the empty corridor, though.. But in the next morning it was better as there were more people around (other guests checking out, cleaning ladies). The travel desk at the lobby also gave me a good price for visiting the aquarium. It was an okay stay for short period; unfortunately I was awaken several time by my neighbor's snoring next door. Not the hotel's fault though..but better bring earplugs.

Thank you for your review. We're pleased our economy rooms generally suited your purposes. While they are the best value private hotel room in central Auckland they do have some minor shortcomings as expected for the price. If your budget allows it's much better to take one of our ensuite rooms which comprise most of the hotel.
