Excellent location - quiet even though in centre of town. Can walk anywhere from here and close to Britomart Station and ferry terminal. Very comfortable room with everything we needed (and I am very picky!) We had the included continental breakfast which was fine for us - fruit, cereal, yoghurt and pastries. Cooked food also available. We were in Auckland for 3 nights and the meal we had at the restaurant was the best we had during our visit. The food was lovely and the service very attentive and friendly. Other restaurants we tried the food was okay to good but the service was a bit hit and miss. Would definitely recommend

Small hotel with lots of style. Well positioned in the city close to shopping and restaurants. Lounge, bar and restaurant on 1 st floor. Creates a nice atmosphere for a drink or place to read whilst having a coffee. Rooms are designed well.

This beautifully appointed boutique property shows great promise from the moment you realize it's located in a wonderful, bustling neighborhood.

An extremely attentive, efficient, helpful staff lets you know you're in very good
hands. You'll get a personal tour of the property and your room, but they leave some wonderful things for you to discover on your own.

This hotel was clearly created with 30- and 40-somethings in mind, which could be a bit off-putting for older guests, but no need to be concerned if you're over 50.

If you prefer a firm mattress, you might be a tad put off by the extremely soft bedding in the guest room when you first sit on the bed. But the cushiness cacoons you in comfort and the luxurious and warm duvet will surround you in coziness.

And here is one of the best secrets that you'll probably first discover as you're about to take a shower under the wonderful rainfall shower head in the gorgeously appointed bathroom: the floor in the bathroom keeps your tootsies toasty warm on the heated surface! What a wonderful indulgence! You may actually enjoy having to get up in the middle of the night.

The hotel restaurant offers freshly prepared signature dishes that are just delicious! Highly recommend the chicken main dish and the kingfish and lavosh starter.

Overall, just a wonderful experience there! The only cautionary note for older guests is be aware that you may find the shower floor not as slip-resistant as you prefer. A small, portable bath mat probably would solve that potential problem.

A memorable experience from something other than a cookie-cutter high - end hotel.

Excellent accommodations in downtown Auckland. The staff and service were superb, friendly and gave excellent local recommendations. The boutique suite was 5 star lodging. We loved the bathroom and quite location to rest from jet lag.

We were blown away by the design. Probably the funkiest, most beautifully designed hotel we've ever stayed in. The rooms are exquisite. I really can't overstate how amazing the vibe and feel of the entire hotel is. It's in a great location and the food in the restaurant is pretty good.

My only real issues come down to very minor things:
- when we arrived late at night (which we had called ahead about, so it shouldn't have been a surprise for them) the front doors were locked, so we rang the doorbell. Nothing. Rang again. Nothing. Called the hotel on the phone. No answer. It had been a long day of travel so we were tired and unsure of how to proceed. We ended up standing there ringing the doorbell and calling the hotel for ten minutes until a staff member rushed up and let us in. He had been busy helping another guest with their vehicle in the parking lot. Fair enough! We just didn't know what to do in that situation.
- There was a drink voucher waiting for us in our room when we arrived but it was too late to use it (and we were leaving the next day before we could use it, sadly) so we opted for some $12 beers from the mini-bar which is fine but maybe not ideal especially when compared to how things were at our previous hotel (Adelphi in Melbourne)

Overall: the staff were friendly and helpful, location was great and the decor/vibe/design is probably the best I've ever seen. If they're able to tackle a few minor hospitality logistics they'll be the perfect hotel stay.
