We spotted the Chinese lanterns suspended in the trees and headed up the steep hill from Queens Street to investigate. The gardens are beautifully maintained with people weeding and dead-heading as necessary. The lantern displays were artistically arranged and would look great in the dusk/night time. It is a park that is well used by both tourists and locals; some were exercising, others having a picnic lunch and for the majority it was a place to chill out and take in the scenery and enjoy the sun. Lovely place and very peaceful away from the hustle of the city centre.
