“Picturesque”
Reviewed 9 September 2013

The view from the summit of One Tree Hill stretches wide across Auckland in all directions. It's a nice walk to head to the top of the hill from Cornwall Park. One of my favourite things to do is to get some fish and chips from down the road and sit at the base of the hill for a fish and chips picnic. There's a great observatory there too!

“Up close and personal with NZ sheep”
Reviewed 4 September 2013

We did the coast-to-coast walk and were very pleased to be taken via One Tree Hill. The highlight - other than the green pasture and well-cared for reserve - was the sheep and lambs. Quintessential NZ in the heart of the city!!

“Maori war canoes,amidst wharf-side eateries”
Reviewed 29 August 2013

Have you got viking blood in you?
If not.....the rich pedigree of NZ's seafaring history is on display at this marina complex. its ultra modern design is a wonderful attraction, especially from the water. Seagoing canoes from the Pacific and Maori sailing crafts,as well as,a range of European sailing boats, are enough for 'the boys'-at-heart,and the ladies too can revel at detailed exhibits on early whaling, super yacht collection and ship models to gladden your nautical heart,
The star of the show, according to some,is the 1988 sloop built for the Americas Challenge. There is wharf-side eateries which are tremendous in the sunshine. But since the Viaduct is adjacent, your choices mulyiply exponentially. Boat and yachts moored here add glamour and interest.

“Nice city view”
Reviewed 22 August 2013

You can view Auckland city from the hill top. And, it is accessible by car! But, if you have the stamina, I recommend that you walk from the entrance park until the hill top. You can feel the serenity of the place.
