“A Piece of Paradise”
Reviewed 13 November 2013

Auckland's Hauraki Gulf is truly a paradise. Hop on a ferry from downtown Auckland and in 15 minutes you are in gorgeous Devonport. Venture further and you can visit Rangitoto or in 30 minutes you are at fabulous Waiheke. Rain or shine these attractions are well worth a visit. Of course the Gulf consists of many more islands that are equally accessible by ferry. All you have to worry about is where to start!

“Quiet paradise”
Reviewed 16 October 2013

Choose a calm and summer's day to visit the Hauraki Gulf and you will not be disappointed. This is a beautiful playground for people with their yachts but is also fun for people taking a ferry to one of the many outer islands. You can certainly get away from it all if that is what you wish to do.

“Unique sea and boating area”
Reviewed 13 October 2013

A lot of city harbours are quite defined, but the Hauraki Gulf is a large area that leads to Auckland, but within the Hauraki Gulf are there are many Islands that you can either visit or just pass by if you are boating or just looking from many of the points of the greater Auckland City. Auckland is sometimes known as the City of the Sails because the population has a very high population of boat ownership especially yachts. So if you are sightseeing on water or land, boating in its many different forms, or out fishing this is a great place.

“Awesome”

This is the best playground around for all watercraft. The scenery is amazing and a must stop off as some of the Islands have vineyards.

“You dont need your own baot to enjoy the gulf!”
Reviewed 10 October 2013

We love our boating and we spend most of the summer season on our yacht exploring and enjoying the Hauraki Gulf - there is so much to do and so much to enjoy, no need to head off to Bay of Islands when its all here on our doorstep. Fishing, swimming and all the cafe's to explore.
Come winter, nothing better than to jump on the ferry to Waiheke for the day of if you can afford a full weekend away head over to the barrier.
