Very nice food market. Sunday seems to have the most stall holders. Dog friendly. And its under cover so no problem if you have inclement weather. Good food and coffee options. And if you fancy lunch the nice Catalina Cafe is just up the road with a playground nearby.

“Great morning out for all the family”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 27 June 2014

I'm so pleased this little market's now open Saturday and Sunday mornings, it's such a pleasure to go to - A really sweet farmers market with a wonderful atmosphere. Our regular visitors from the UK all ask if we can take them back there.

Take lots of cash, because you'll be tempted to buy a little bit of everything!
From Artisan breads & speciality oils to cheeses, sweets and savories; and organic veggies and free farmed meats to yummy pies, cakes, manuka honey... And all yummy.
The traders are free and easy with samples so you can try before you buy.
The Catalina cafe is usually packed when it's market day, but their stall in the market serves really excellent coffee.
Last week it was kiddie heaven, when a bunny and guinea pig petting farm turned up!

“Like an European farmers market”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 19 June 2014

On recommendation of friends, new to the area and busy exploring, we headed to Hobsonville Point one Sunday morning (it's open Sat & Sunday, 9 am - 1 pm). We weren't disappointed. Under cover in an old hangar and down by The Landing, ferry terminal, lots of food options: olives, cheeses, salami, stuffed vine leaves, speciality olive oils, fish, fruit & vegies and so on. Yum! Nice to discover a vibrant part of Auckland that is so close to the motorway, city and North Shore. I can see why it was voted best in Auckland 2012. If you have time stop and eat some of your purchases and listen to the music. Also stop at the Catalina Café, on the way there or back. Preferably before it gets too busy.

“It's lost its way”
2 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 8 June 2014

I frequented this market from the first week it opened. It was fabulous - great produce, lovely stall-holders, easy to access. Then it had to move to new premises down at Hobsonville Wharf because of the development at Hobsonville Point. This was okay but the management also tried to turn it into something else with events and other stuff going on, which completely got in the way of the farmer's market and made it hard for the stallholders trying to sell their products. Also, the parking in the new location is abysmal (apparently because of the council) - you have to park at the top of the hill so if you want to do some serious food shopping, like we used to, you have drag your bags back to the car park at the top of the hill. I have stopped going. I really miss it but will only go back if it becomes a proper farmer's market again.

“Quality, Quality, Quality”

A Farmer's Market that has everything that other Market's do not have. Not to be missed if you have nothing to do on a Sunday morning rain, hail or shine it is under cover.Plenty of parking.
Too make a day of it visit the Catalina Café next door .
