“Interesting building with current shops”
Reviewed 8 December 2013

We stopped in at the ferry building because we saw it and it looked interesting. When we got there we saw a nice gelato shop and sampled a few flavors before deciding on a tasty treat. Outdoor seating facing the waterfront topped the experience off. Great little stop, but keep in mind, public rest rooms are nearby at the waterfront a few steps away.

“Old and well kept”
Reviewed 7 December 2013 via mobile

A small step inside history. Just walk in and imagine yourself in a back trip to history. I love to do that, just think of people being there so long ago. Nice

“Beautiful at night and efficient”
Reviewed 4 September 2013

Took a harbor tour and the Ferry terminal worked just like an efficient bus terminal, comfortable seats and a decent view when you walk around. Boarding of the ferries was efficient and easy. At night the whole terminal lights up and looks a little like waves.

“Screaming- colors gem.”
Reviewed 31 August 2013

I love Edwardian, everything, but this saved gem of that era is a standout on Auckland's waterfront. The 1912 structure is brilliantly used today for its original purpose which is to be your entrance and exit point for ferry excursions to Devenport,Whuheke and other Hauraki Gulf islands.
We indulged in one of its famous eateries and loved the ambiance and screaming colors . Go, ferry building.

“Nice”
Reviewed 23 May 2013

An old impressive building housing restaurants, souvenir shops and ferry information. Characteristic to Auckland's waterfront, it's worth a look and a picture when you're on the water.
