“Best concert venue I've been to.”
Reviewed 26 December 2012

100 years old and some of the best acoustics anywhere fpr live orchestral music. The seats upstairs are better but some of the sight lines are not so good so I prefer the stalls downstairs.
The new organ is really amazing and several times a year free concerts are given on a Sunday afternoon. This is part of the conditions of the gift from the original benefactor all those years ago: hoe come people don't do these sorts of things any more.

Since its building restoration the Queen sits proudly. Now with the huge organ fully restored to better than its new condition Auckland had a top venue.

“A beautiful building”
Reviewed 22 November 2012

Almost perfect in the way it fits the spot. I love this building. Hasve gone to many concerts/ graduations etc here and always love the feeling. You can usually get a peek inside if you try a door or two. Has a comfortable 30's feel to it.
