“It was an interesting experience”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 19 June 2014

The Holy Trinity Cathedral was beautiful inside and outside.

Inside, it was spacious with relics that you could see and a big area where Mass takes place.Note that you are asked to pay to take photos within the church.

Definitely get a photo of the outside of the church which has a good architecture.

The elderly female guide was kind and took us to another of the older church next to it. Inside, you can see photos of the older church being moved to its current location from across the street. Amazing feat!

Go have a look if you have the time but not necessarily a must see.

“Modern is not bad”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 5 February 2014

It may be modern but it has a wonderful feel to it. Sit and ponder whatever comes into your mind. It's a vast open place in comparison with traditional European cathedrals. Very interesting stained glass.

“Beautiful Church”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 8 November 2013

This was a beautiful peaceful church open to the public. The woman guide was helpful. I would recommend stopping in to see this landmark, and to view the journey it made from one side of the road to the other!

“Interesting Arcitecture and Great Music”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 25 August 2013

With interesting, modern architecture and a thriving music scene, Holy Trinity Cathedral is a must-see when in Auckland. Evensong services occur nearly every day (Boys' and Girls' Choir sing one service each per week) with the Cathedral Choir singing a varied music list three services a week. Plans for a new organ are under way too. The music department is one of, if not the best in New Zealand.

The cathedral is a very bright and light space thanks to the huge stained glass window which dominates the front of the building. Clergy and staff are very welcoming and a visit is an essential part when exploring Auckland. St Mary's Church (former Cathedral Church- wooden Gothic revival) is next door and is well worth a visit. Location is fantastic too- right in the middle of Parnell with plenty of cafes, shops and restaurants nearby.

“Magnificent Choral Music”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 10 June 2013

The choral evensong service at 5pm on Sundays is the most intimate way to hear the wonderful choir in this very special building. The choir is of a consistently high quality and sing during the school term time (not in school holidays). They sing a full range of beautiful Anglican choral music. It truly is a superb end to a Sunday afternoon.
