Nice hotel in Auckland City, near downtown. Small room, but is was clean. Our room was at the back of the hotel and we didn't have a nice view. The view was the hotel next to ours. It was a little noisy due to the garbagecollection spot of this hotel.
Breakfast was very good!

I have stayed here a couple of times and for the price - normally $99 is pretty good value for money. The rooms are tiny and the bathrooms miniscule- no bath. I stayed in a studio not sure about the other rooms. It has quiet a modern decor but it has been done cheaply in the rooms. It has quiet a generic feel to it. Would I stay there again? Yes but only because of the price!

We stayed at the Quadrant as I had been gifted a voucher for a room for a Christmas present (purchased for $99 during their "supersexy sale"). Reasonable value with the voucher, but I certainly would not pay anymore than this!!!
The room was fine, but upon entry we realised we had 2 single beds (I stayed with a partner). I made a phonecall, and the obliging receptionist assured me she would attempt to move us, and would call back. After 45 minutes plus, I rang back to find what was happening. Alistair (hope I have your name right!) was very helpful and told me we had been moved (obviously we just hadn't been informed?), and apologised profusely, which was nice. The room was nicely decorated, but really quite warm (my partner stated he could see an air con vent, but there was no way to alter the temp in our room). Fortunately we had a fan, but as he can't sleep with one going in the bedroom we both had an awful nightd sleep due to the humidity. This was added to by the Hyatt (next-door neighbour) kitchen staff hurling empty bottles into the big blue skip out the back of their kitchen throughoput the night as they finished wioth them. You could imagine the crash! I would return, (with earplugs!) but wouldn't attempt to cook again - poorly equipped kitchen for an apartment (only 2 elements, not enough bowls/utensils, no frying pan due to fire safety laws etc etc). very compact for an apartment compared to some I have stayed in. Valet parking only option, $25.

Loved the hip Quadrant! Walked everwhere from there. Nice service. Rooms are very small, but cool. Where you would go if you were an up and coming rock star. We got it for around $65/rm a night. Great deal.

I stayed here for two nights and booked it through hotels.com based on price and positive comments. Although the location is slightly out of the way it is a 10 minute walk to SkyCity although it is one hell of a uphill walk to get there. The hotel itself is hip and funky e.g. music videos played in the lifts. The room was great it was bright, clean, a great shower, a big balcony and a very well equipped kitchen. I paid 83 pounds sterling and thought it was great value. I also stayed a night at the Mecure Hotel on Customs Street for 43pounds for one night and the Quadarant was far far far superior.

We had a fantastic stay at the Quadrant. It was centrally located within decent walking distance of the waterfront, K Road, the Domain and everywhere else we wanted to go. Auckland is hilly, but we liked walking around and found it to be a very walkable city. Also, The Quadrant was across the street from Albert Park which was nice. We booked it on the Quadrant website and got a discounted rate for our two night stay with no housekeeping. We requested an early check-in and when we arrived at 11:00 am were able to check in with no hassle. The front desk reminded us that we did not have any housekeeping and told us if we needed it we could pay for an upgrade. Our room was small, but comfortable and clean. We requested an upper level floor and had a great view from our small balcony. The room was well equipped with a stove, fridge, washer/dryer as well as dishes/cookware/etc. The Quadrant is trying to hard to be hip...and that is the only place that it misses the mark a little bit. Overall we had a great stay and would definitely recommend it.
