As we were first timers to Auckland we found the Quadrant Hotel to be a welcoming and friendly experience. Great central location we were able to walk to the Skytower, Viaduct, and the Brittamart centre for buses etc. .
I would just lke to thank the team at the Quadrant for a wonderful and relaxing time.

This was the last place we stayed on our trip and it was really very good, it had a fresh modern feel to the place and we were booked into an apparentment there with a good view of the city. I would happily stay here again, the staff were all very friendly and helpful,

Booked The Quadrant through Zugi after reading great reveiws about it in Trip Advisor. Husband was attending a First Aid conference and we decided to invite our daughter along as her 21st birthday present.

-Service was outstanding. Flew in from Australia and arrived at the hotel 2 hours before check-in. Asked if we could store our baggage and we would go out for a walk until check-in time came around. Better than that, they told us our room was ready and we could go straight up.

-At time of booking had requested a room with a nice view to make it memorable for our daughters 21st. Were given a balcony room on the 23rd floor. The view was amazing.

-Our bedroom was very modern and comfortable, although a tad compact.

-Daughters room small but comfortable.

-Beds and pillows amazing.

-Bathroom roomy with divine smelling complimentary shampoo , soap etc etc. No bath, but we are all shower people so it suited us perfectly. There were a couple of cracked floor tiles and toilet roll holder was loose and kept falling off but these are only small quibles.

-Some jubilant guests (a young rock band also staying at the hotel) knocked on our apartment door to invite us to a party in their room late one night. As tempting as the offer was, we sensibly turned it down. This was the only noise that we encountered during our 4 night stay.

-Check out was slow, but that is to be expected with approx 20 guest are all trying to check out at the same time. Not a problem to store our bags while we wandered around town for 4 hours. They even kindly offered to book a taxi to take us to the airport on our return. Lucky that they did, because the taxi ramp around the corner at the Hyatt was empty.

-Yay. Free WiFi. Spent time on our laptops researching and mapping our Retro/Op Shop Tour(we created for ourselves). Do yourself a favour and get down to K'Rd.

Thanks The Quadrant.....You helped make our daughter's 21st memorable.

The Quadrant is a terrific little find; I've stayed there on my last two business trips to Auckland. Importantly, it is much cheaper and much more personal than its next door neighbour, the Hyatt. This is a modern boutique hotel; the decor of the lobby area and the breakfast room / bar is really trendy, and there is relaxed techno-lounge music playing in all the public spaces. I can see that older guests would not necessarily like this, but the Quadrant is aimed at a younger crowd anyway.
The rooms are not large, but very comfortable. The rooms all have a kitchenette and a washing machine, so you could cook your own food if you needed to. Which would be a great way to save money if you were staying for a long time.
The gym is small and basic, but Auckland is a perfect city for outdoor activities, so you have no business staying in the hotel for that.
The little hotel bar is a fantastic little place - especially if you can sit in the circular cozy which is hidden to the left along the window. There is also a small courtyard if you want to sit outside.
I would definitely recommend this place to business travelers and tourists alike.

Stayed with my gf for three nights and wished we could have stayed longer. We got a great deal of 99NZD per night for an apartment suite. We did not expect much at that price point thus we were incredibly surprised to find the Quadrant to be a very beautiful, even chic boutique hotel located in a beautiful part of the city next to Albert park and very close to nice bar venues of Vulcan lane and High St. as well as Queen Street's eating establishments.
Highly recommended and would stay again even at a higher price point.

Have stayed here a few times when in Auckland for leisure. It is great - the rooms are funky, decent sized - it is not for the business traveller - it is usually quite busy and the demographic is more 20-30 leisure.

Facilities are fine - the gym and pool are not fab but enough to break a sweat. They have a funky little restaurant/bar area not a huge menu but enough for a snack and a glass of wine.

The rooms have kitchens which is not essential but a nice option - the one bedrooms and studios tend to have a balcony which is a nice touch if Auckland's weather works out! Try for a higher floor and facing the harbour - for the money one of the better hotel views in the city.

The only issue I have with the Quadrant is because of the type of visitor they get they need to stay on top of their room maintenance - wear and tear is an issue in some rooms.

It is a boutique hotel so don't expect a great expansive room but they are put together in a smart way - that being said it bewilders me that with the price of flat screens and the premium on space that the rooms have big old style TVs - and no ipod dock/clock radios - a small addition that would make the place really good.

Go back all the time when in Auckland - will continue to do so.

$140NZ including $25 for parking is a very good price in a CBD location. Room was small but very well equipped (range, refrigerator, dishes, dishwasher). Staff was New Zealand friendly and helpful which means very friendly and helpful. My only minor complaint is that, if you don't go for the hotel's breakfast buffet, it is a long, hilly, healthy walk to find anything other than coffee and a muffin.
