Loved the food - it's tucked down a quiet lane - a real gem. Service was very friendly and efficient - we always come here when we stay at the Langham.

Nice to find an ilalian that has a menu other than pasta and pizza found the food was rather better than the so called posh hotel eateries - sevice was good and the prices, considering the location
good value.

Not a particularly impressive family trattoria; noisy! The service was fine and it wasn't expensive. The liver fry for entree showed sings of promise; sadly the pizza that followed was very average.

My wife and I on our quest to find an amazing Italian restaurant on every one of our trips hesitantly tries this place as it was close to our hotel.
we ordered a garlic pizza to start and shared the spaghetti meatballs and a Quattro pizza which ended up being a pizza cut in 4 with different toppings on each slice, (sounded better as a single pizza with the toppings as per usual) the menu did not mention olives and as my wife hates olives we thought this a safe bet. However, the pizza came with an olive stuck into the crust of all 4 slices.
When we politely asked for a new pizza without olives (as you can tasted them still when the are simply removed). we then heard the 'chef' yelling in Italian at the waitress and received our same pizza back with the olives simply plucked off.
Not wanting to create more pain for the waitress we cut out those bits that were stained black by the juice from the olives and proceeded to eat our mediocre pizza with a crust that could have been store bought and pre-frozen (actually an insult to frozen crusts as there are some really good ones out there).
The staff all seemed to be Italian and spoke pretty good English but spoke only in Italian to each other, something I find quite rude, as it makes you feel you are being talked about.
Overall our worst food experience in a 10 day trip to NZ.

We read the reviews on trip adivosr which were fairly average but decided to give it a try but....The service was poor and the food is worthy of an average! Overall it was a disappointing experience.
